I remember being on a London tube around the late 70s's and there was, amongst the ads above people's's heads, a thingymajig to pass the time away. It started off with: 'Take a look at the person opposite you,' and then encouraged you to speculate about all sorts of personal things about them. There I was merrily enjoying  my thoughts and smiling to myself as I answered the questions in my head....... Then right at the end it said: And before you get too carried away, please note there's a sign exactly the same as this above your head

When i was little and got the bus with my mom and brother we would fight over who sat next to our mom cos the one sat in a seat on their own was guaranteed  to get a nutter sat next to them (not the same one each time) by nutter i mean someone who would talk to themselves or someone who stank really bad and was in desperate need of a wash etc that sort of thing.

Its only as i'm typing this i realise we should have sat next to each other and let mom sit on her own!
