Katty, the scandals coming out of Ireland are really quite repulsive and would make you tear your hair out with grief.
The abuse that nuns and priests carried out on young kids in their care is absolutely horrendous and is almost too vile to even contemplate. The catholic church in Ireland has got a battering and many now are choosing to marry in the chuch of Ireland or just have civil partnerships.
Ah Fairfax,I've heard about it all ,scandalous.All those poor babes and kids ,no voice etc,just abused.We have had some of it here in Scotland ,but i spotted the dodgy priests priests when I was in first year at secondary school.
The church in Germany is now going through the same scandals. 
And yet the Pope will be here in the Uk this year on a visit,,cue the Catholic Church going into overdrive etc.Pah! I was raised as Catholic from birth,,,thank eff my mind out grew the shackles etc.
