I'm giving up swearing.
I'm giving up being nice to the moany old bat next door. Do you know she got the arse today over a blimmin recycling box. All of them are green, they all look the same, none are paved in friggin gold. Mine and hers were left outside. So I went out, picked one up and she's banging on the window saying 'ohhh yours is over there, that's MY one' I looked at her, inspected the box, looked at her again quizzically and said 'erm, they're kinda all the same?' and she was like 'naaah they aint, that's MY recycling box'.
So sod her, sod her net curtains and sod her stupid bleeding moany cat.

I've done my 40 days
This Sunday business ... the trouble with Sunday is that it comes before Monday and I really can't handle alcohol on a school night. Given Christians only have Sunday as their "holy day" because of Constantine and Sol Invictus and wanting to be different from their Jewish forbears ... I thought having my time out on a Friday night might do instead?
Anyway ... so far so good.

I did suggest after dark as well so that I could introduce a slightly Ramadanian element (Ramadanian...? oh well ) but then I wondered how late it got dark by late March - I could hardly toddle along for a snifter after work and keep my head high could I? I'm out later and driving so I have to be good....Reference:

Just think of the advantages 'though Cariad, sure we'll feel healthier and happier for it and I'm hoping to see a few pounds come off the scales and on to to my bank balance (Gawd that makes me sound like an alcoholic! I'm not that, but I do have a few drinks probably every 2 or 3 days and probably a few too many once a fortnight or so)Add Reply
