I was a bit. My poor mother (adopted and in her sixties) raced around after me for years. I used to go off after school (6 to 10 years old) with friends who asked me back and my mum had to call round everybody to locate me. Nothing stopped me, I have no idea why, but my poor mum had a hard time and it only got worse when I got into my teens. Still, all that good upbringing managed to drag me back from the brink when I was 22.

I was brought up as a single child (although my biological mother had another 11). I think I was nice, I used to share anything I had with anybody, but I was a wee bit headstrong. My dad died when I was 8, he would have pulled my strings, but I just dominated my mum, God love her to bits.

 Nurturing works  then

I think so. I wasn't going to get into the debate the other week, but I have at least 8 step siblings to testify that they had the nature, but not the nurture and they all died from drug abuse. I was cosseted and looked after and encouraged to do well in school and yes, I stepped off for a couple of years, but I remembered and got back to were I was meant to be.
