OMG, talk about throwing your toys out of the pram!  The poor old BBC are wounded, because Corrie walked off with the 'Best Serial Drama' award at the NTAs!  Whingeing and moaning like babies, because ITV did a mini-tribute to Corrie and it's 50 years, and they didn't do one for poor iccle 'enders and their 25 years!  They claim that the mini tribute 'swayed' the viewers.

Get over it FFS!  Corrie won,  And this mini tribute made NO difference to ANYthing!  It was DURING THE AWARDS SHOW!   The little tribute had NOTHING to do with Corrie winning., It won because more people voted for it, and it's a BETTER programme by a country mile.

Eastenders is a joke, it has terrible storylines and the plots are laughable.  There's ANOTHER Mitchell coming in FFS.  Who the heck write the scripts?!  They are laughable!

I can't believe the fuss the BBC are making.  Are they not satisfied that they won it FOUR years in a row?  The BBC need to grow up.  You can't win EVERYTHING, so stop being so spiteful and selfish!  Let someone else have something for a change!

I read about it they said the tribute made no difference as corrie was in front all the time before they did the tribute,I did notice on the night that one of the emmerdale cast punched into the air smiling when corries were told they had won as they dont like when EE keeps winning, corrie is by far the better soap with better actors IMO about time they won sour grapes BBC

Glad most people agree.  Yes EE is one of the most depressing and pathetic programmes on tv and I really don't get why it is still being aired.  Darlo, even if they Do win that award you are on about, Corrie still reigns supreme.  How anyone can watch EE and not laugh at it, just baffles me...  The programme is dire...

Going back to my original post; I still stand by what I said, that the BBC bosses are really sore losers.

And this naff, sterotypical 'gay' man in EE tonight who was running after Christian.... 'oooh, chase me chase me....'  Pathetic .. LOL!

And as for that middle aged woman detective.... is she the ONLY detective in Walford LOL?

Like someone else said I also watch EE out of habit. I agree it's depressing and often the scripts are too transparent as we can see what's coming next. There's a few good actors like the ones who play Stacey, and her Mum...has her Mum ever won an award cos she deserves to. Also the Masood family are good. Those like the actress who plays Chelsea should watch a Masterclass in acting from Stacey.

Also through many years of habit I wouldn't miss Corrie, totally love the comedy scripts that EE can't ever emulate. Will continue to watch both but glad Corrie got it this year
