However, it just so happens that most decent and well mannered people wouldn't dream of discussing a topic such as this in company, but then again those that you have mentioned seem to be lacking in the basic fundamentals of good manners.

Did I say it was reserved for people in their twenties? No. But I'm almost certain that people in their teens and twenties are more likely to talk about it on social occasions or just when they are with their mates.
Well me and my mates and acquaintances often talk about it. Why is it such a bad thing to discuss? That's a bit of an old fashioned view you have.
