Twenty Ten for me
Thanks Tina. I say two thousand and ten but most folk I have heard saying the year, seem to say twenty ten. Just curious what the general consensus was on here.
Well last year and year before I referred to as 09 and 08 so I guess this year, for me, will just be ten
not oh-ten LOL?
twenty ten, well I called it nineteen ninety nine so ....
Twenty ten - year of the Den (which it hopefully will be. Eventually)
Bit of a mix so far.

I have said two thousand and ten, up to now .... but I like twenty ten .... sounds better
Oh come on.. The Battle of Hastings wasn't in One Thousand and Sixty Six was it? WW1 didn't start in One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fourteen did it? Was Ten Sixty Six and Nineteen Fourteen. Let's have some continuity here guys.

Yes, but we didn't say twenty 0 nine, or twenty 0 eight did we? We said two thousand and nine, and two thousand and eight, so why not say two thousand and ten?
two thousand ten
Ooooh more votes for two thousand and ten at the mo.
Year of the rear

I did....
Hi Cariad. From the way you said the battle of hastings wasn't in ten thousand and sixty six it was ten sixty six, and so on, I thought you were saying we should be saying 20-10.

Well we said Nineteen 0 nine. So what's wrong with twenty 0 nine?
We should. It makes sense in terms of continuity. The first decade of any new century is difficult and let's face it this is the first time we've ever had a verbally recorded (other than a written) record so to speak. At other times we've seen 1503 or 1609 or 1702 or 1806 written but not spoken - in my head I see those dates and think fifteen-oh-three or eighteen-oh-six NOT one thousand, fifteen hundred and three etc...so I automatically said twenty-oh-three or twenty-oh-eight etc...

I'm still using the Roman Numerals, Karma.
1st one, the second one sort of annoys me.
