I was really looking forward to seeing Stephen in cbb, I saw him in the american version of IACGMOOH and he was great, very funny, especially when his brother Daniel was also there. He didn't go on and on about the bible, he was just a regular guy. He did make it known that he was a born again Christian but didn't push his views onto others.
I'm really disappointed with him in CBB as all he seems to talk about is the bible and how his faith helped him overcome problems.

When Sov said "everybody has their own Lord" and then tried to re phrase it, he laughed at her and she got confused.
I think she was trying to say "everybody has their own relationship with the Lord" which I would agree with.
I believe in God and I do have my own relationship with Him, but I would not bang on and on about it.
Stephen is really getting on my nerves and yet I like the guy........just stop with the preaching already!

Because we see so little footage of what happens I don't really understand why BB focus so much on Stephen sharing his beliefs, are they trying to turn viewers off him? because many will have a problem with it. I too saw him in the US Celeb/jungle and they never showed him talking about his faith, which I'm sure he must have as he's so committed, different Directors make different choices of what's shown I guess.

Some in the house don't seem to mind him sharing what he believes but it's natural not all will agree to wanting to listen to it, as with anything it's each to his own.

I've seen him in two different reality shows and  I really believe that  in this instance he is being edited badly. BB are known for doing hatchet jobs on people!!   Its almost like they want the public to dislike him. I think he is very interesting and will be dissappointed if he is voted out quickly. Sick to death of the focus on Alex Reid, running around half naked and boasting about that horror Katie P,  now there is someone I wish would go asap.

I also believe the editors are doing a hatchet job on Stephen. All the HL shows so far have had a least quarter of the show focused on his preaching. About 15 hours when all HMs are awake and in a 60 min HL show, they show Stephen majority of the time. The stuff he is spouting out, we may not agree with, but it's got us talking. He looks like he will be nominated by the likes of Heidi, Sov & Sisqo, so he will probably will be up and will be voted out. Then we will have Jonia love story, Alex talking about you know who, Dane & Nicola doing nothing and Vinnie looking bored.

I'm finding it rather excessive just now! I believe in God , in fact I am being Christened on Sunday at the grand old age of 24 but I don't ever push my views onto anyone else. In fact I very rarely talk about my faith. To me it's a private thing between and God
I feel the same as you, but I think a lot of Christians feel that they have to spread the "word" - have a calling almost. It makes me feel uncomfortable, and I would have a real problem with doing it myself, but it seems that some people are happy to discuss their religion openly. I like him.

probably because no one else has anything worth hearing.

apart from the odd snippet of conversation here & there .... none of them have anything remotely interesting to say for themselves

The bible bashing doesn't really bother me (yet) ... but imo, at least stephen adds something to the show ..... what have any of the others done apart from bugger all.

A number of people suggest Stephen may be a victim of biased editing.
I would only say that we don't know this.
And it is just as likely that he has received favourable editing, and perhaps his behaviour in the house is even more excessive than we have been shown.
All I'm saying is that - until we know otherwise - it is possible.

If I had the misfortune to be stuck in there with him I would have to move as soon as he started clapping on about religion. Even if the editing is biased he still talks about it way too much ffs! How many conversations did have going on and left in his wake yesterday?

I used to work with a young girl for 7 yrs who was a devout Jehovahs Witness...how many times did I ever hear her talking about her religion in that time? None. I asked her about it now again from curiosity and she would answer what I asked. My Elder family and sisters have been going to church every week since they were young girls (catholic)...how many time do we ever discuss religion or do they talk about it with friends? None!

I think there is something wrong about someone who needs to harp on and on about it, I think a lot of the house are keeping quiet because if they say anything against him, they will probably be deemed to be the evil spawn! Praise the Lord for Heidi (no pun intended).

If I was there, I would eat during grace and he could respect my beliefs as much as I respected his!

I just find him creepy....sorry! I was open mouthed at his comment about the gunman and his daughter and how he would rather see her in heaven than her deny the Lords existence  Loony Tunes Alert!

Also he reminds of the late Steven Gately..when Steven gained weight...is that just me?

Correct!  We don't know it as fact nor do we know anything as fact in that house, BB are adept enough to edit the show in a manner that will be most interesting or indeed contentions. However, I am one of the people who think his editing may be iffy but am willing to be proven incorrect. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.
