LOL Peng, ( I mis-typed there and it came out as Pang)
I pushed me telly back and held up a template for a bigger size infront of it to see what it would look like, but I couldn't tell. I need someone to hold the template while I look at it from a distance

I've got a 28 at the mo. And it's one o those huge CRT things. I can't see stuff scrolling across the bottom of the screen and wonder if a bigger screen would help, plus I just fancy a new telly.
Mind you I want a new washer too and have had someone to give an estimate for a new boiler so might go for a loan or I dunno if I can get an extention on the 50p mortgage I have

50p mortgage - blimey - how do you afford the interest on that
Former Member
Haha, It's hard I tells ya!. It was an endowment mortgage I had with mam and was paid off when she died, but I had to leave 50p on it if I wanted the building society to keep the deeds
Can't wait till the mortgage is paid off - will party like mad

^ similar situation here - I've been out of work for years due to ill health so we have to watch every penny and I couldn't justify paying for what is essentially a luxury item
maybe if I send Milo back I'd save a fortune on vet bills, insurance and food for him

Don't be sorry. I've been on both sides of the fence and know which one I like best, so I'm trying to do what I can before it all goes (**** up) if it's going to

Pamula - I don't know when this sensible cloud descended over me - but we get nothing on credit, we pay our credit cards off monthly, and - other than the mortgage, we owe nothing.
I think it's because I lecture the children about their money, so I have to lead by example

There's another thing........not that I've got thousands on me card (about ÂĢ500) and that's only since I was out of work. I've managed to pay a fair bit off since I started work but a loan/mortgage might clear that too so I could consolidate Reference:
