The snow was pretty a few days ago...now it's just pure compacted ice and is a death trap. I hate it...I can't get out and my hubby's going away this eve so I'm gonna be stuck in the house all by myself till sat and I'm hoping it heats up because I'm panicking about food now
We had fresh snowfall overnight and today si tis still very pretty here at the mo!!

Snowed in with OH and kids   Was great for a few days, sledging, snowmen etc but so over it now.
Well, I say snowed in, but today Mr Veg dug car out and drove to buy a new hoover.  Being snowed in with a hairy rug was driving me insane.
Mr Veg is a driving instructor so he's not worked for weeks.  Schools back on Monday, 6 more sleeps to go!!!!

Too much ice and snow for the refuse collectors.
Ours hadn't been for ages, then turned up last weekend and made a huge fuss about not being able to negotiate our icy street. We poor sods living in it had had over a week of it being like an ice rink, with cars and people sliding everywhere. One bloke who fell over outside our house needed an ambulance. Council refused to grit.

Then the binmen moaned they might fall over, or bump their lorry. Presto - gritted!

Have you got the snow now Mazzy? It's been snowing here for the last hour - stopped for now though
Had a shower for about an hour then it stopped.Started up again half an hour ago and much heavier now.I'm on a bus route and the road is clear at the moment, but the grass and pavements have a nice covering.we had a tham today as well which means it hasnt snowed on ice llike it has for other people.I do love the snow for about two days til the novelty wears off of the ice and or slush.I should imagine those who've had it for three weeks or so are sick to death of it

well and truely covered here in Nottingham now and it's still coming down, i'm on a bus route *not a wide street* and the gritters haven't been tonight, probably get a bus in my garden tonight
my housemate just came in to tell me we have about 2-3 inches...is this true? I know what you mean about them not gritting yet, we are near the QMC so I'm sure the main road by us should be gritted for ambulance safety!
