I am finding Stephen pretty loathsome.
A combination of things really.
He seems to convey that he is an expert in everything in the world.
He doesn't just express an opinion - he "declaims" and asserts".
A cocky style.
To say nothing of activities away from the house - such as leading a campaign to prevent an adult bookshop from opening. And his beliefs about womens role and fulfilment (which it seems he may have instilled into his young daughters.)
Allowing him a book for part of each day is unfair.
I would strongly object to having a prayer imposed on me before my meal.
I think he is rather objectionable, and intolerant.

I would not let him impose that stuff on me.
He hasn't even got the sensitivity to realise they are not all receptive, yet he can't resist.
His behaviour is wrong and rude. He should not be preaching.
I don't find him at all interesting, just extremely annoying. Hope he leaves soon.
There is something obnoxious and odd about him.

I find him a very irritating and annoying and condescending pr1ck to be honest.  One thing that grates on me is religious preachers!  Worship who you want mate, but don't diss or revile those who don't agree with you.  I have had the misfortune to be in the company of people obsessed with religion several times, and to say they piss me off, is an understatement.
