It requires little effort.....open oven door....shove a few cloves and peppercorns onto gammon, put oven on, leave a couple of hours and bob is then your mothers brother.

You were right Croc!. It was fine!
my mate has got off the train from the east coast, which he got onto at 7am. this morning, gone straight to waitrose and phoned me and asked if we had cabbage...
I've got to assist with the cooking tomorrow, which includes preparing the turkey. I TOLD my mum to get one of those boneless ready made jobbies that you just shove in the oven and I'd finance it whatever the cost but noooooo, financially careful mother has bought a normal one and everytime I open the fridge it's backside is smiling at me
And she wants me to work on that thing???

Morrisons have run out of fresh free range turkey.
My Tescos's was fine, not many in and didn't have to queue. All sorted now, thank goodness.
I always go to Waitrose about half an hour before closing on Christmas Eve to see if they have any bargains. Last year we bought two turkeys reduced from ÂĢ50 to ÂĢ13 each.
Took us all blinking year to eat them though
