Warning about Facebook

I don't use Facebook much, but I know many of you do. I've just read this news article about a virus that is hitting Facebook and other social networking sites and can do real damage to you computer.

Thanks for the warning Jenny, I've sent the link on to friends who I know use FB. I stopped using it not long after I opened an a/c as I found it too complicated and time consuming. I've heard though about a game called Farmville that's supposed to be good, tried to find it yesterday but couldn't, like I said it's too complicated for me lol.

FB will still be OK to chat on--- just don't open any links or requests etc; The requests may be from friends on farms etc;-- Just delete em for now to be safe.

It is still safe to chat and post though.

There was a new warning that I read about yesterday re a new virus that gains access by announcing that you have been seen in a film and to open to see it!! honestly who would think they have been secretly filmed?

I had a nasty virus on FB last year - it kept "sending" messages from me to my friends! It's a devil to get rid of!
