I'm just wondering if this was  Blanche's last lines..she did look frail and was sitting down.

she'd looked very frail for a while now...she was a brilliant character though

I felt really sad seeing her last night, knowing this was one of the last times she was going to be on my TV screen, I will miss Blanche and her one liners, classic last night about Kenneth and the Guardian crossword, she did look ill though.

Nice to see Betty in last night's episode, she must be about 80/90 now, but still going strong.  Molly and Kevin - pah!!

Corrie has a great tradition of creating brilliant roles for older women.

I'm so tired of watching Molly and Kevin slurping at each other. It's mildly sick-making. And slimy, over-acting Dev and that golf woman who looks like a permed ferret - fgs...

What's the story with Simon's  Grandad, the guy Blanche took a liking to,
pumping money into Peter's new business, does the Grandad take Simon, or am I reading into a story line that doesn't exist.  


Loved Blanche, fantastic character, more so in the lasted few years,

I wondered about that too, RZB. I reckon he's putting money into that bar, hoping it'll force Peter off the wagon. Then he can step in, whisk little Simon away and claim custody, because the Barlows aren't fit parents/family.

I bet Granada haven't even thought of that story line, and are rewriting the Christmas plot as we speak, if we suggest, Ken has a romantic liason with the Grandad's wife, and it's in the plot, we know they are watching us. 

Maybe we should suggest Sally and "Rerseh" die in an unfortunate mangling accident with an industrial overlocker at the factory, then.
It took the forensics team three weeks to unpick them from each other, etc..

Well at least the Molly and Kevin bit is believable. Dev over-acting? Surely some mistake. He was dreadful as always last night..
