I flew just a couple of weeks ago..& thats how it worked for me DD!
I got my return one at the airport on my return!

For return D-I-D, he can either do it on line at the other end, or do it at the airport
with the touch screen monitors.


I travelled last week, having booked in using the screens at Heathrow & JFK,
Most airlines don't actually have check in staff now.

I just phoned BMI Baby, they said he can't do it at the airport and will have to print it off there....what a pile of shit, who has access to a bloody printer while they're away!!!!

that's a supirse, maybe he'll have to find an internet cafe & printer at the airport,

DD..on my original print off ticket which I did at home...it gave me a code for tapping into the airport machine for the flight out... it had a code on it for the return too!

It's him who'll have to sort it at the other end now, I've done my bit They don't have the touch screen facility at the Airport in Majorca or he could've done it there...you learn something new everyday

I've flown with BMI loads and never had a problem with printing the passes? Really odd that they're telling you that. I usually checked in online and printed the passes at the airport with no hassle. (Printed the return pass at the departure airport). It's a passport/bank card recognition system and really simple to use. I'd say double check with the airline when you check in, but you should be able to use their terminals at any airport.

Ah. Just seen your reply that he cant print at Palma. The check in girls should be able to do it for him though.

If the check in girls do it he has to pay the £10/ €15...oh well!

I know! I did it online before flying for the first time....... couldn't do it on the way back and ended up having to sit apart from my son on a seven hour flight.

I think BA (maybe others) are talking about allowing you to do it a few weeks in advance now, to overcome that problem, but you'll have to pay for it. Tbh I'd pay rather than be risk being separated again.

Can anyone tell me, does he just go straight to the boarding gate at the airport, and how long does he have to be there beforehand? Can't be bothered trawling through the BMI Baby site as my internet is going at a snails pace tonight....hellppppp!

Would the hotel not be able to assist in printing out the return? Or is it not a hotel trip/holiday? All in all pretty shite though IMO.

I flew with Flybe Ducky...it was an internal flight to Scotland from Exeter airport..which is a diddy one! Did my booking on the internet though.
