No, it's not coming form us ( unless you are using a very, very broad term for the economy as a whole) It is private finance from private companies not public money.

As far as I can see part of my money is being wasted on Jonathan Ross and part of my money is being wasted on The Ant and Dec. The routes are slightly different but it's still my cash.

I don't understand the hatred, if people did not vote for her she would not have done all the trials and therfore not been the center of attention so often. what ever her reason for going on the show, no one had to watch. Plus of course they are all in their for publicity and some of them are not very nice people, so personally,i prefered katy anyway.

Yes,but  I like the show and wanted to watch however her being on it and getting the trials night after night put me off,they cut the live feed a few years back so their nightly show consisted of a few moments of the others then the trial..aka Bleedin' Jordan.
Perhaps they could have introduced a three strike rule,any more than that then the person getting chosen would be exempt.However ITV are desperate for dosh and if they get more from the same person being chosen night after night I suspect they'll stick with it.
