I went with my six identical large letters, to the local post office last evening. The guy behind the counter solemnly informed me that the computer was down and he wouldn't be able to provide all services. I weighed one and the price was 90p. So that was six 90p stamps. How nostalgic!
 It took about thirty seconds.
Under the normal efficient computer driven regime it would have taken thirty seconds to print out each sticker and receipt. Automation? Autobuggery! As they say in the best of circles.

Well it's all well and good being nostalgic Mr Crossy but what abut the health benefits? They're fattening them there stamps are you know. By licking those stamps you have consumed 6/10th's of a calorie due to Post Office incompetence. I would complain if I were you, you could have had the pleasure of sniffing a cream cake instead of wasting part of your daily allowance on stamps.
