I liked the  references to past civilisations on earth linked to planets and civilisations far away in the original one.. this one is a bit Voyager like.. loving the Geek guy tho..

I'm watching it, but finding it hard to get into it too ... I think it's trying to be like Battlestar too much ... I'm an SG1 fan too and I watched Stargate Atlantis, even though I thought it very second rate compared to SG1 ... I think they were right to try something a little different, but I'm not sure it's working quite as planned ... Perhaps if something actually HAPPENED during an episode it might help ...?

Loved when the  Asguard? communicators were popping in and out and Lou diamond thingywhatsit was in the Captains body one minute then back in his own on earth the next. .only the Captain had been using his body to have a quickie with his wife while on earth ..

I liked the original film, but couldn't really get into the TV series.Watched the new Star Trek film on DVD last night.I really enjoyed that, even my niece and her boyfriend liked it and they are not Trekkie fans like me
me & OH loved the movie then the series but this new one - eh.

I really liked the new Startrek movie (hate the old series now though, cause I don't like the old James Tiberius Kirk). I'm hoping that the new one is just as good!
