No, we don't really want that Real. The place is slow enough with all the downloaded avatars and assorted pictures and smileys, without it being slowed further with sigs! Sorry and all....

I personally can't abide sigs, they are a complete waste of time, waste of space and detract from the actual posts. I much prefer the set up as it is.

I'm not fussed about sigs.  I do appreciate being able to mess about with avatars, though.

One of the first things I did when I came to LC, while GaGa was still separate Was to copy my sig to here. You will see it on any thread I start, but I might switch it off from appearing on every post.

Out of interest, what makes you think my previous post was rubbish?

Thought I'd comment on a few things that have come up in this thread:

1.  Sigs:  thanks for the comments.  Of course we listen, but please understand that you may not get what you want.  We can't please everybody.

2.  Moderation:  If your post is marked "reply in moderation", it means you hit up against our word filter.  That means you either used the 'f' word or the 'c' word, and you won't see ANY of your post here.  So, post accordingly.   BTW, "post accordingly" does not mean to work around the filter by making it look obvious.  That trick may get you banned.

if we are all declaring whether we want sigs back or not... 

then my vote would be no.    I like the 'clean' feel that posting here has now.  Its taken a while to get used to quoting and stuff... and I wasn't convinced it'd be better at first... but I admit that I like it better this way now xx

I'm torn on the sig debate..... I hate the long ones or ones with huge pictures.... but I do like the way they add a little character to the place. I honestly think they would look odd in this format though. When you consider how narrow the forum is compared to the last one.... it would make it all a bit cramped in my opinion. The minimalistic look is growing on me.

Oooh no! He was the one who fixed it!! I just had to nag him for an hour and a half before he took the problem seriously. In the end, I convinced him by saying I would plug myself into the router..... which would mean he had to have his door open and leave himself open to a cat attack.

He dies because he left his homework till the night before and then requested help. Two hours it took!   It was Statistics.... the one type of maths I haven't taught yet, so I had to revise a bit and try and teach him as I went along.

lol... Stats is the only bit I can actually have a convo about with Ickle!

And Dud Doo should know better...  pah at the importance of his a level studies... when compared to access to the forum!
