Because my niece didn't answer the door she had a stone thrown at her window that broke it. I've heard of similar stories whether it's to houses or shops. From US friends who've celebrated Halloween for more years than the UK things like that don't happen over there, it's a fun thing not an attack on homes or people. The UK is an embarassment on so many levels

I think it's yet another a sad reflection on UK society that something that some may enjoy celebrating is becoming something that's become fearful for many
