I remember my mother dressing up as an alien from V for a Halloween fancy dress competition years ago when the first series just came out ... She made my dad bring home loads of bubble wrap from work, painted it green and sewed it onto a red jumpsuit ... She could never understand how she didn't win any prizes for it ...
Aww it must have been a fix shar....I went in for one once and my mother told me I would'nt win as only the commitee members wives of this club ever won..I went as a bunny girl and won first prize, the gents loved it....

Man i love TV3 and miss it hugely here in the UK - I had to download the first eppy of V -have to say it seems right up my street - i can't remember the whole original series i just remember being scared out of my wits at the green skin and that Diana one scared the bejaysus outta me!!
What's TV3 lol ? Loved V - it was one of those series when I was a kid that all my family sat down and watched 
still remember the tension when the girl gave birth and the green alien crawled out..hmm or was that a nightmare she had?..and then when she did give birth it appeared normal..then suddenly it turned and hissed and a forked tongue shot out or something? pmsl it's quite sad I can recollect that after all these years

Did you ever watch Alien Nation with James Cann, that was good....
I loved that series too but I thought James Caan was only in the pilot. They had some bloke with dark hair playing the cop in later ones.I thought that it was quite realistic, the idea that once the novelty had worn off from the aliens that they were seen as just the latest group of immigrants by the population and subjected to all the prejudice and resentment
