I'm not into gaming at all but my grandson is addicted to them.  JD are you my grandson?    He too is counting down the days until MW2 comes out because apparently his life will then be complete when he gets this game next Tuesday.  It's on order!

For his 18th birthday in three weeks, I have bought him a high tech PC with dedicated graphics, 4 gigs, 1gk .. oh I don't know what they all mean but when he gets sick of MW2 on PS3, he will seamlessly glide onto this new PC.  He is currently playing Borderlands, I think it's called.  For someone not au fait with computer games, I am kinda forced into knowing about them

I don't think I'm your grandson ..... but I could be if the pay is good

Don't get me started on MW2 -  I'm having trouble sleeping already , all set up for midnight release next Monday !!!!!!!!!  Got  Tues off to play , and play , and play until my fingers are bloody stumps.

My life will change next week .... every waking moment I will be dedicating to it

tbh JD, I couldn't afford another grandson with such expensive taste in games so the vacancy has been filled already lol.  You are out of luck there!

He looked at the calendar two weeks ago to see what day the 10th fell on, D Day so to speak, and found out it was a Tuesday.  It was all forward planning from that point on .. getting his mate round for the big event, etc. etc.  He has lived and breathed anticipation for a very long time.  I don't understand it tbh.

It seems you are of the same mindset JD and this waiting is becoming unbearable.  The forward planning - booking a day off to really concentrate on it - proves to me that this gaming business is serious stuff.  You intend to make this into a spectacular and I can fully understand why, listening to my 18 yr old grandson.  Mind you, he says that if MW2 is as good as Final Fantasy Decidia (PSP), then it will be money well spent.  I am sure you know what I mean about that ^^^.

I like your grandson !   if he wants another buddy tell him he can add me if he wants ( id is : jdcoke .....  simples )    it's a very serious business -   you have made so excited about it now all I can hear are voices  " UAV is online "  " planting claymores "  " frag out "   !!!!!

Need to go & sit in dark room & calm down

haha JD, keep calm and carry on.  Sorry to get you all hyped up about MW2.  When my grandson mentions it to me he goes all hypey about it too.  You are not alone.  He starts explaining why it's not called COD any more, and stuff like that.  I pretend I am listening, but I'm really not .. tis cruel of me.  I do pick up some stuff though.  It's not all wasted or I wouldn't be discussing games with you in this thread.

I hope the OP doesn't mind me talking about games by proxy, even though I wouldn't know how to switch on a PS3 never mind play a game on one.  I will pass your id on to him, and you can become fellow MW2 buddies and I can butt out
