Hubby was walking past with the dogs when it happened. The police have just turned up.
I have my first driving lesson tomorrow.....I really shouldnt have read this thread!
Aww MoFo... good luck tomorrow. It was four years before I had my first near miss.... so I'm sure you'll be fine.
Damn, we don't get any drama down my end
All I get is kids stealing the dust caps off my car

Some young lad and his girlfriend were indicating to turn left down the back road and some middle aged woman's come flying round the corner and smashed full on into him ploughed through him and gone on about another 50 yards into the bus shelter. His car's a right off and she came screaming at him that it was his fault! Hubby said he was clearly indicating but he didn't see the smash just heard the bang and turned round. Poor lad's got no other witnesses, huby just went out to him and he's crying saying nobody's going to believe him against a middle aged woman...
glad no serious injuries
and good luck on your test

At least no one is hurt. Hopefully for his sake an accident investigation officer will be able to determine if she took the corner too quick cos of speed - but that depends on if they send one which I expect they will as the bus stop has been totalled.
If she knocked him that far, I think he's got a good case.

the police will maybe tell from the cars who was at fault
but at least no-one is hurt.
Good luck with your DL MoFo.

get your Hubby to help him if he can get as much info as possible- dont rely on the police to do it - go out and get the poilicemans id no off his uniform if not a name - Yes I am sounding paronoid my Lad had something similar on the 6th Jan - the following morning the other driver admitted liability to our insurers - we have battled since then as his insurers have manipulated things - we await a court date help the lad tonight if you can
Apparently she came in on the inside of his car as he was indicating left because she thought he was indicating right and he was positioned centrally in the road. Thing is he would have to take the corner quite widely because it's a very narrow back road, but unless you know the road is there she may not have been able to see the turning.

my streets been on the news all week , sad really 2 fires two dead in one very sad , mother and daughter and 8 rescued from blaze in a block of flats right across from where i work it was a godsend no-one was killed. a wee 6day old baby was there . it was deliberate too , we are all waiting on local newspaper tomorrow as someone has been arrestedAww, that's awful Mrs H. Trouble is people see young lads behind the wheel and assume they must be at fault. Hubby's been out and told the lad he'll do what he can to help.

i know shocking , the police are confident he's away too many witnesses this time
Aww. The lad's dad just came to our door to ask if hubby would be a witness. His son forgot where hubby told him we lived so they've been up and down the village looking for him all day. The woman has now said that the lad did a u turn out of the road and pulled out in front of her. Lying cow. The poor kid's only 18 and his dad says he's been fixing the car up and only finished it last week. The council have been and demolished what was left of the bus shelter this afternoon too. It's so lucky nobody was hurt.
I hope your hubby can help him Queenie, all he needs to do is tell the truth The Lady will get caught out if she is lying...I hate liars...
Women drivers, eh Queenie?
Seriously though, that poor lad, he must have been chuffed to bits with his car, too. Thank God he and his passenger were ok though. Hope the woman gets a huge bill for all the trouble she's caused,

I hate liars to DD and I also hope she gets a huge bill Moomin. Hubby didn't actually see the crash but he heard it and turned round immediately after it had happened. He says that he knows she was driving way too fast and the lad was definitely indicating. I know accidents happen but she should just have fessed up and admitted liability if it was her fault instead of trying to stitch the kid up.
All he can do is tell the truth Queenie...the police aren't daft
I couldn't tell a lie over something like that. My friend was once in he BFs car and they had a minor bump...she claimed whiplash (not true) and got over ÂĢ2k. She thought it was funny, i didn't as my I'm one of the mugs whose insurance premiums go up because of liars....she doesn't even drive therefore doesn't have to fork out for insurance. I was so angry at the time I could barely speak to her, I told her what I thought though.,...
I've had someone bump into the back of me and could easily have put a claim in, I can't be that dishonest though...
