Great post PinkBabe!
He's comments about gay men kissing being "creepy" was just the kind of immature bigoted comment I expected him to come out with.
He did a fab job of promoting the BNP by asking people who are basically anti gay, anti muslim, anti black, anti womens rights and anti any kind of non British cultural background in a person to vote BNP. But hopefully this type of mentality is in the minority and hopefully the GBP will never let someone as disgusting as Griffin become anymore powerful in government. We can only hope.
He is deluded! I absolutely peed myself when he made the ice age comments, what an absolute uneducated idiot.
Yes he has a degree in History and Law but he obviously didn't pay attention because his historical facts are completely wrong and In 1998 Griffin was convicted of distributing material likely to incite racial hatred, for which he received a suspended prison sentence.
What a lovely bloke. Not.
Can someone enlighten me, did Mr Griffin start of by saying he wants to save the 'British' heritage and then later went on to say he wants to save the 'English' heritage. I'm sure he said that, so now he doesn't want the Scots, Welsh or Irish here either?
Yes he did, he tends to use that comment quite a lot. I forced myself to look at the BNP website yesterday and was appalled by most of it.
Hahahahahaha the frigging moron is claiming he was victimised on the show, and that it should have not been filmed in London as in his opinion it is no longer British
As I hoped, he has done himself massive harm by his appearance. Gay couples are "creepy". The KKK "aren't violent". White Brits are the UK's "aborigines". The Koran has sexist and racist bits (like the Bible doesn't?).
All regurgitated with that slimy "no, really, I'm enjoying this" grin on his sluglike face, when it was obvious to everyone that his bum was busy making buttons..
And now he's complaining that he was exposed to a "lynch mob", because he had to answer a few awkward questions and face real scrutiny, instead of hiding behind his usual PR bollox. The only lynch mobs you've ever been exposed to, mate, are your "non-violent" KKK pals.

London has been moved? You think that would have gotten a mention on the evening news!
Most people on this thread have already expressed my utter loathing for this man and all he represents. The people with the sense to see that he is an utter moron will see it as he was shown up as the twonk he is. People with a less than enlighted mentality will see him as being victimised.

Hahahahaha No. My son had came in the room during the show (tbh I think he wondered what all the laughing, whooping, shouting and general heckling at the TV was all about), anyway he came in when they were talking about the BNP's policies on non-white British Citizens. When I explained what they intended to do, he started to cry and asked , 'but where will I go?' Had to calm him down and explain that it would never happen and even if it did, did he think I would stay here and just wave him off.Reference:

Oh god - that just gave me a lump in my throat Reference:

Your post sums up how digusting his policies are, your poor son, I hope he understands that not all people think that way. How did he manage that? Just the sight of his face? Hahahahaha

That is so sad...blimey, I hadn't really thought about how his vile words can affect Children...even more reason to loathe the 'Man'...No. My son had came in the room during the show (tbh I think he wondered what all the laughing, whooping, shouting and general heckling at the TV was all about), anyway he came in when they were talking about the BNP's policies on non-white British Citizens. On a lighter note, just found this
punchbook punch Nick Griffin. Enjoy, I certainly did, it does take a while to load and you move your mouse over the face to punch. Cinds, give your lad 5 minutes with it!!

Thanks people, you've all got me a bit choked now. Me showing emotions, where will it end.
I've just looked again at the Wiki article on him, which states that he joined the NF at the age of fifteen. That's just shocking! He's now 50, so he has spent 35 years with these warped views. (I worked out that sum all by myself). He also went to Cambridge University. Wouldn't you have thought that in all those years, he would have gained just a little bit of wisdom?
Blimey, how could you have such a warped view of the world at fifteen..
Here's the man himself and his racial garbage.

I couldn't watch all of that before feeling nauseous. What was interesting though, was the study done on intelligence and voting preferences. Why am I not surprised that people voting for the BNP have the lowest IQ?
(This is not a dig or pop on the lovely FM LowonIQ who is anything but low on IQ)

I did my vocational degree at Lancaster and I took a philosophy degree at the OU out of personal interest. You can blame the OU for my girly liberal views.

All this Nick Griffin stuff ... he's basically a nobody really. He's not threatening or dangerous, and we don't live in Weimar Germany. People seem to fall over themselves, me included at times, to say how loathsome his views are and how outraged they are but it's not really necessary is it? He's an oddball. An eccentric. It's pretty much the de facto position for most people to be in that position and so it's all redundant.

The piece referred to in the Telegraph appears to be this one:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/...-needs-immigrants.do
It's the same bloke, right? It's always worth going to the primary source if possible.
Differing tone, emphasis, and conclusion aside, the core revelation is indeed very interesting.

If true then I wonder if NuLabour regrets it and I wonder if that is why Jack Straw was so tongue-tied when Dimbleby tackled him on the issue of immigration?
Jack Straw, well named eh? What an arsehole, I would have been more worried about his performance on that show than Nicks. Needs to go.
too true, he's a bit of a plank.

Oh I wasn't worried by Griffin's performance, I was very pleased by it. He made a complete fool of himself. Of course, that probably won't make that much difference to the core voters in his target cachement but even so it was funny. I agree, Jack Straw was diabolical. As were the other panellists. At least Griffin can't complain that he was put up against some political and academic heavyweights to bully him and take apart his incoherent arguments. He got off very lightly there, bless him.
It was whitewash (pardon the pun) I didn't get to hear Nick's views. I want to know the truth..

I wouldn't hold your breath in anticipation of anything particularly coherent. You'll go blue in the face otherwise. The BNP website is quite interesting, especially the crime and justice section, as it soundbites lots of the sorts of opinions here on the forums. That's presumably how they persuade normal people to become interested. Of course, when you take them apart it's pretty superficial but who's going to bother doing that if you're more inclined to moan about the state of things at the bus stop than to join everything up to come up with a theme and think through all the consequences?Reference:

I expected him to perform better than that. I thought some on the panel scored cheap points off him, but tbh the BNP hardly have the moral high ground on fiar political argumentAdd Reply
