IP go to Manage on the top black bar then notifications. This will bring up a page. Scroll down to the bottom and there should be a tickbox which says suspend all e mail notifications. Tick that and then you must press the bar that says Update my notifications preferences or something similar.
That has worked for me, hopefully it will work for you. If it doesn't then get the mods to have a look at your account in case there is a problem

Perhaps this e mailing malarkey is something that you should opt into rather than out of. it seems to be causing no end of probs.
Glad i found out about the vacation thingy early on.
I think this would be a good idea. The "vacation" get-out ("Suspend All Email Notifications") is fine as far as it goes, but no FM should be having to use it permanently - that's not what it's meant for.
As I've said in other threads, it may mean you'll miss important notifications, e.g. (heaven forbid) ban or un-ban notices. I'm pretty certain that the use of "vacation mode" is why a lot of FMs didn't know about the recent web chat with BB8's Lesley.

My guess is that the current notification options weren't designed to be used in conjunction with the often heavy forum use of FMs here. I think there needs to be some finer distinctions and, as you suggest, perhaps an opt-in format.
