I started as a "Guest" 18 months ago and was afraid to get involved here. Took the plunge and posted in a thread-- " Hi i'm new here" Never looked back since. Come in and say hello. The thread titles are mostly irrelevant now.

That's how we all start and I've lasted about 5 months so far, didn't think I would. I have made mistakes, got help, and never looked back, seriously.
The mix of forum & blog have a strange effect.
I was a blogger, still am but not so much now as I use some forums now.
I started about 3 years ago but never went on forums cos I could not keep up with the speed of the conversations. Thats why blogs are better. They are take your time forums

Blimey, that was a dead risky strategy on Gaga!!11! Especially towards the end.
Real is positive in his encouragement.
I can understand the feeling of intimidation some may feel, and that is why they remain as "guests".
No forum is likely to be completely loving, but the people I know here are very warm and friendly types. Anyway you can always be selective.
It might be worth a try - just once - dip your toe in the water, and I bet you find people are very welcoming.
Thanks Real.

I was a lurker for ages but decided to join you when you became Livecloud. I have to say that I find this place absolutely lovely and enjoy joining in your discussions. I'm not on FB or any other forum and sometimes my newness becomes apparnet when I don't get answered back (probably being paranoid)but otherwise love it here
Hello, Fairfax!
Hi Fabienne,
Bumping this in the hope "Guests " will step in and post.. You have nowt to be afraid of Take the plunge as i did-- and enjoy making loads of new friends
Serious--- Just Reg and post in a thread. We don't bite or judge. I know folk will be frightened of posting here-- but just say " Hi-- New here " and we will all greet and help you. You will wish you had done it earlier once you do it-- so come on in and enjoy with us.
We might have odd user names but we are just here to chat and have a laugh or discuss a particular topic. We do genuinely welcome new people, we were all new and know what is like.

Yoo Hoo guests
Come and join us, we all talk twaddle honestly
You dont have to be,say a Darnell fan, to visit the towers as its more like a SIT.So those places are usually good to start with.Theres footie and music threads and,of course, xfactor.Dont get too upset if people dont answer you straight away, sometimes there are several conversations going on at once between peeps on a thread.Or just start up a hello thread to get to know a few names. It's not always easy to make the first move...but if we dont know you're there we can't say 'Hi!'!!1
Yet those of us who are here are classed as 'guests', if our online status is hidden
