Just watched this on the news just now a pair of Staffordshire bull terriers involved, yet again. Now before folk that look after and train such dogs start foaming at the mouth etc.The truth is in city urban areas these dogs are being bred(probably inbred etc) for so called chavs and thugs to parade as "hard dogs",They get no training, they are encouraged to be aggressive etc...so bloody sad, feckin' people.Years  ago these dogs were docile and good companions.

We have them round here, blokes with no  arses in their trousers, due to them being junkies.Junkies have no flesh on them, all  their money goes on drugs, not food etc.Don't care about them, they thief and mug to get money  for their habits. However, they do have poor dogs in tow, mostly Staffie type dogs.I  bloody phone up the SSPCA and report them, however they are inundated with calls just now.

One of many reasons  why My rabbits are total house bunnies...some of these feckers would steal rabbits to chuck to their dogs for fight training etc.....yea like a boor bun could put any fight up against a dog!...pure blood lust!!! GRRRRR.

I was attacked by a dog after I had my fourth child she was only six weeks old in her pram, this big black dog came running towards me I was trying to protect my baby the dog bit into my leg the owner dragged him away I have never been so terrified in my life, I was always scared of dogs, one day my husband said why dont we get a dog I said no,I gave in and got a Scottish terrier who was a lovely dog now I have Angus and Hamish who are lovely natured,I do blame the owners mostly for their dogs behaviour and these people should never be allowed to own dogs in my opinion...I would say any dog can become unpredictable for whatever reason and it is so sad when a child gets attacked I hope this boy pulls through All dogs should be on a lead I get nervous if I see one not on a lead.

I also remember few years back me and my friends were walking across this football pitch as its a shortcut back home, we didnt know it was off limits to all... was very late and pitch black, a light flicked on in his back garden and he set two huge dogs after us It managed to bite one of my friends but we still escaped. Then when we got back onto the road one dog was out there and started chasing us again

I know we were not supposed to be walking across the pitch in the first place but still abit extreme to set dogs after you

Agree totally with OP, Staffies are being bred for this purpose now sadly, because they think it makes them look hard, sad really as Staffies are my local breed of dog and if treated right are the most loyal, loving friendly pet you could wish to have.

Sadly the chavs round here are starting to see them as status symbols along with various breeds of big bulldog type dogs that look very imtimidating.

I was walking my dog on Monday and we had a Staffie come to play with her and she was lovely with Roxy, trying to catch her (my dog is a greyhound).

I would have a Staffie, because I know that you have to keep these intelligent dogs occupied and well, I think they are lovely.
