Live theatre has been one of the biggest pleasures of my life. It was great when I lived near anough to London to get to the West End in under an hour. But I am now further away from theatres. Some of the most memorable, and emotional and thrilling moments of my life have been spent in a theatre.
Aah thats fantastic, it was really fun and I loved the atmosphere although bit expensive for drinks etc.

Which shows brisket? I love the theatre too
So many Rexi. There was Cabaret (the wonderful original London one with Judi Dench.) After seeing this (a number of times) I now cannot warm to the Bob Fosse film. It also had brilliant lighting. The original Oh What a Lovely War. Several versions of The Rocly Horror Show. Loads of pantomimes (but I am prepared to suspend my disbelief and enjoy most of them.)

I remember seeing John Gielgud on stage, and Alec Guiness, and many straight plays over the years, thrillers, comedies dramas, fantasies.  I am not a fan of Andrew Lloyd-Webber, though, so I have not been to see any of his stuff.

I have also been to opera (I like Verdi, Rossini, Donizetti) and ballet (Swan Lake, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo & Juliet, La Fille Mal Gardee.) I have been pleasantly surprised by seeing people who have previously dismissed ballet as "not for them" , being converted and becoming fans.

I see Gethin Jones (who I liked in Strictly Come Dancing) is doing pantomime in Guildford this year.
