I've just heard her new gramophone record, aka record of the week on Radio 2.
I think I can now put together a decision making mechanism for someone slapping her. They may have been musical. I can never condone violence but it makes more sense than the previous published reason, that her PR people were alarmed at the publicity that Alex Burke one was getting and needed a story.

Bad as it is the bloke has mental problems, unlike so many "normal" thugs out there who are just evil bastards. The mentally ill these days are left to fend for themselves as funding etc is curtailed...It will get worse if the Tories get in,so many of them are in favour of an American style insurance for health. If you can't pay ..tough,you will be at the bottom of the health care ladder.

Well, quite.

That's the downside of being a 'celebrity', being the focus of people's attention ... including the unwanted stuff.  She's bruised and shook up but basically okay.  And at least she can rationalise it as an attack by a random with mental health issues.  Unlike, say, my mate who was thumped in the face in the high street one lunchtime at the weekend simply for holding a bloke's hand in public.

i was at gay pride in brum and a bloke at the end of the night went and slapped every gay fella in sight-nah punched 'em out!
i chased him-he pulled the knife and told me to f*ck off
i did back off
but i wondered, why the f*ck are you here if you dont like gay people-he did say it was cos his family lived near the area
yep good excuse to knock the face off a few fairies

thing is..him and his family enjoyed the days events..him, his missus and the kids..!

Yes .....it's shocking. I know years ago those with mental health problems were locked up  - not always a good thing as some conditions are manageable but ............there are those who are let out for 'care in the community' who really and truly shouldn't be there - a young (pregnant) woman was stabbed and killed near here a couple of months ago. The bloke should in no way have been out walking the streets without supervision. it's all about money ...................it's claimed it's civil liberties but what about the victims of those with serious mental health issues ............what about their civil liberties?

A fun loving friend of mine, who SERIOUSLY wouldn't harm a fly, was on a stag night, and was asked by two oyks for a light for their ?? ciggie. He responded that he was sorry, but he didn't smoke, and he got his head kicked in, and ended up in ICU for 3 weeks!  THEIR defence Lawyer said, he gave the WRONG answer to their request, and it could have turned out so differently, if he had just  supplied a match or a lighter!   WTF????
