You did it Darlo!!

Hope she will be ok, Blanche is one of  my favourite characters in Corrie, love her one liners.

Coronation Street's Maggie Jones has revealed that she doesn't find her character funny.

The 75-year-old, who plays Weatherfield's favourite nag Blanche Hunt, isn't impressed with her character's sharp tongue and acerbic remarks.

"I don't find her funny, and don't think I could play her properly if I did," she told Inside Soap.

"Blanche genuinely believes that what she's saying is right, and doesn't say things for comedic effect. If I started trying to play the lines for laughs, they wouldn't come out right and the performance would suffer."

However, Maggie - who won a gong for Funniest Performance at the Inside Soap Awards - reckons everyone wishes they could take a leaf out of Blanche's books.

"Everyone knows someone like Blanche - or if they don't, they wish they did! We'd all like to be as outspoken as her and have the nerve to say things she does," added the 75-year-old.



We certainly find Blanche funny.

What's the matter with her?

I've got no idea doesn't say, although I do remember ages ago she did have a fall and had to have time off but it could be something different this time?.

It says a life changing operation so I'm thinking heart problems?

I don't watch Corrie, but I think her characters brilliant, I hope she makes a speedy recovery.

My mother watches it at a 1000 decibels, I'm often pottering about in the lounge while she's watching it... I don't sit and watch any soaps, but I can bloody well hear them and so can the neighbours four doors down

I love Blanche.  She's the saving grace of Corrie at the moment.

she fell at home on sunday and ruptured her spleen and by all accounts she's not very good

Aw i hope Maggie gets well soon and back to Corrie, she makes Corrie for me - one of the best characters ever to grace our screens!
