it was on telly yesterday saying you got to do a full re tune and it will sort it out.

I just googled it (coz I'm sad) and it said homes that have lost these channels won't get them back.

Yes a full retune and not just a channel update. I did the update on my nieces telly box and got all the channels sorted,however on my box in my room I still could not get CH5(same didgi box model) I had to retune,I checked the CH5 website and followed their instructions.I had to delete all my channels and go back to "Factory settings" then upload them all again,that worked fine.

katty - I just checked mine and we'd lost loads of stuff, so I'm redoing it now.

That's why they've been telling us that from noon (or shortly there after) on the 30th of September we would have to retune. They even kindly directed you to where you would find directions to do it. Or you could phone a number they gave to get help. Hubby did ours while I was at work so I don't know the details, but I think it was pretty much like setting it up in the first place. Yes, but until you've re-tuned you won't know if you've really lost them or not.

I've got sky! I only googled to see why people had lost some channels coz it seems really annoying.

I've got SKY on the main telly,that's not affected,but Freeview in both bedrooms.Buggered if I'll pay Murdoch any more dosh!...well my niece pays for the SKY as I refused to.

There's always Freesat ie. Freeview from the Sky satellite.  Free, obviously, provided you have the Freesat receiver.

I've been quite attracted by the Russian TV we get for a couple of hours in the early evening.  It's like watching Borat, only as a series.

I am amazed that you don't re-tune your box more regularly (ooh er missus). I do mine every month or so as a matter of course as there are often new channels added. It's just a shame that 305 (the BB channel) disappeared and never came back

The kids retune mine regularly(in the hope that another kids channel is added no doubt)....we get new channels but they dont seem to operate until 1 am!(Freeview)

Retuned Tuesday...E4 and ITV4 moved.And I got a new ITV channel(best bits maybe???),Quest,Virgin and Virgin + 1.Setanta's changed it's name and thats about it.Didnt get a sky channel other than Sky 3 which we already had.
