There was a thread the other day that i posted in...when it hit page 3...I couldn't go any further..others could...very odd!

It sometimes happens to me if I use IE, I'm using google chrome and can read the thread

I couldn't see any posts either, so I copied the url into Firefox and they show up.

I copied what was on the other page so for the ones that couldn't see it.
It happens on a few threads that you can't see a page, just the OP's first ever post.
It seems to be concerned with the Browser, just past the url of the page into Firefox or Google Chrome and it should be ok.

I had to download firefox when I had this problem.

It worked.

Apparently there were two (at least) display issues with IE. One that Spidermonkey's fix seemed to solve. There is another display issue caused when a message is first compiled in Microsoft Word and then copied to the reply box here. Seemingly this creates codes that IE cannot interpret and thus a page containing such a post (even if it's just one post causing the problem) cannot be displayed.

I can read it. I'm using Google Chrome.  I find IE very slow.  Chrome is very simple and the top of the page isn't taken up with toolbars.  Firefox kept crashing on me in the other place and I stopped using it.

I find all the Browsers crash. or I have to crash them, it's always caused by the Adobe Flash Player, all the Browsers seem to hang up by the Flash player taking up all of the CPU processing power.
A lot of th eadverts need Flash as well, but I only let Flash run in Firefox but it started giving problems in Chrome as well, so I ditched that.
So sometimes I am trying to run 3 Browsers at the same time so I can swop the thread across into a Browser that hasn't crashed.
Mind you I have about 20 to 30 tabs open all the time on 3 windows.

  When I use my PC it's very slow but it's fine on the newer laptop.  So maybe it's not the fault of my pc at all.
I used to get that message about Flash Player as well with Firefox. 

I regularly get a message on the laptop saying I'm running out of space and need to use the CC Cleaner.  Is that what you're talking about Hicky?  The CPU thingy.

The browsers can slow the CPU down, you can usually tell by the sound of the fan inside, when the fan speeds up it means the CPU is running hot because of the demand on it.
You can tell what's going on by calling the 'Task Manager' program up, in Windows XP it's , 'Ctrl, Alt, Del' all pressed together, and when you get the Task Manager you go to 'Processes' on the top bar.
It shows you what program is taking what power up and the total power used all together.
I have it minimised all the time so I can see what's going on.
If the Flash program starts giving problems you will see the browser using all the CPU power, like 100% or near, and when 100% is being used you can't really navigate round anywhere, because the system is bogged down.
If it's a system file that is using the power it's not too bad as it only uses it for a short time.

You would think, if the message was created in Microsoft Word that another Microsoft product would recognise it? ie IE. Ridiculous. Apart from downloading a different browser, is there any other fix?
