Simon Cowell has reportedly gifted a luxury ski holiday to Joe McElderry and ten of his relatives.

The X Factor winner will stay in a five-star chalet in the Austrian Alps at a cost to Cowell of ÂĢ20,000, according to the Sunday Mirror.

McElderry, whose debut single 'The Climb' is in a Christmas chart battle with Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing In The Name', said that he was excited to be going on the trip.

"It will be me and my closest family. The last few weeks have just rushed by in a blur, so I just can't wait to put my feet up and really take it all in," he said.

An X Factor source revealed that it will be a new experience for the 18-year-old, adding: "Joe's been skiing before but not like this. This will be the full, lavish, celebrity treatment in mega-luxury. When Simon treats someone, he really treats them."

McElderry and his family are due to fly to the Alps just after Christmas.

It sure looks like the race to the Christmas No.1 was fixed for a few to make a fortune.

The bookies where paying out 150/1 a while back, so to get the one that won to No.1 was a clever way of making a lot of money.
They use the excuse that they were donating money, well maybe but whats that got to do with a hit sone, and a song that swears, what are coming to.

'X Factor' finalists John and Edward are being lined up for a role in the movie version of 'Baywatch'.

The tuneless duo have reportedly been spotted by original 'Baywatch' star David Hasselhoff, who wants them to appear in the movie version of the series, a project he has been trying to get off the ground for years.

'America's Got Talent' judge David said: "I loved John and Edward. I'd definitely give them a starring role.

"Can you imagine them running around the beach and saving people in the sea? They'd be hilarious.

"Hair and make-up staff would have to make sure their quiffs stayed in place!"

Lifeguard series 'Baywatch' - starring David as Mitch Buchannon - was the US programme which launched the career of Pamela Anderson and a host of other glamorous actors and actresses, and ran for 11 series from 1989 to 2000.

'Jump In My Car' singer David also said he wants the twins - dubbed Jedward - to sing the theme tune for the film with him, and predicts they will be a big hit in the US.

He added: "It would be so much fun. Jedward and The Hoff teaming up, could it get any better? I bet we could get a number one hit.

"They'll be stars I'm sure, whether in music, TV, movies - or all three. I've a feeling Jedward are going to be well known in the next year."

Looks like the X Factor winning song will finally get to number one this weeks, Monday's sale show Joe outselling this weeks topper by 2-1. Better late than never I guess.
It will get to No. 1 ok.But wouldn't you think they could write a new Christmas song each year, non of those 2 are Christmas songs. Not fussed on either anyway.

And I wanted Stacey to sing it not the lads, it's a girls song isn't it? Stacey will come out of this better than the lads, and Simon fixed it so they would win.

He just didn't want another girl to win, well I don't think he's done himself any favours.

It was a weak song all round to me, I could only see the xfactor additcs buying it, All the other winning songs seem to have a wider appeal, I thought last year was a bound choice, this year seemed lazy to me.

Jedward drops in to St Albans

X FACTOR twins John and Edward Grimes will be entertaining party goers at a St Albans nightclub next month.

The cheeky double-act - better known as Jedward - will be prancing about the stage at Batchwood Hall Nightclub on January 30, demonstrating the moves that propelled them into the live finals of the popular ITV one talent show.

The 18-year-old entertainers from Ireland, who are currently being managed by their former X factor mentor Louis Walsh, have not revealed what is in store for their St Albans gig.

The nightclub's manager Peter Bell said: "I think they are very marmite - you either love them or hate them. I thought they were great entertainment, I'm really looking forward to it." The duo will perform a three hour set from 5pm until 9pm for under 18's.

----------------------

Think they have the hours wrong, 5 till 9 = 4 hrs, and can't see them doing that.
