Lil, I thinks she''s been brilliant through the Ramsay death thing...I actually cried in the episode when Ramsay left to go back to Australia, yes, I cried....

She's acted the whole thing out brilliantly....big up Emily Bishop!

The old girl in Corrie

Ahhhh, I don't watch Corrie.  I'm terrible with actors and characters names anyway.

I thought it might be about Waking the Dead.

I love Waking the Dead, but I haven't seen this weeks one yet so say nothing.

And Yes Emily is playing a blinder.

I think she's acting so well, she's probably been wasted in Corrie.

Blimey - is she still alive?  I remember her when she was Emily Nugent, and was due to marry Mr Swindley, but he dumped her at the last minute.

I just know I'm going to  when Norris finally cracks.

I have seen a few young soap actors recently trying to show emotion and they merely screwed up their faces and pretended to cry, if only they had watched Eileen Derbyshire (Emily Bishop) to see how it should be done.

They have both been 1st class and I so wanted Emily to have love again too....ah well, at least she has the Church

I agree Some of the acting is shockingly bad, Rosie Webster, Kym Marsh to name but a few...even Kirk, but at least he has a few amusing one-liners.....

The girl who plays Sophie Webster is a great little actress while Rosie just pouts and looks as if she has been permanently Botoxed.
Kirk is supposed to be slightly thick and I haven't seen Andrew Whyment out of character so I can't tell if he is a good actor or not but I suspect he is.

Exactly the same  I was a bit disappointed to be honest I thought she would look a bit more modern even her hair was the same

She probably just nipped out for lunch, Marg!    I'm sure I saw a picture of her years ago and was surprised that she didn't look like Emily... but maybe she's grown into the character.

Back on topic.. Emily has been brilliant throughout the Ramsay storyline, especially afters he had found out he had died and sat with the CD of "Waltzing Matilda" playing.. brilliant understated acting from her, some of the younger ones (Rosie, Michelle) take note.

She was too good for Earnest.

My hubby said he had heard that Eileen Derbyshire may be leaving ... I hope not.
