I 'liked' the old forum, but I love the extent of choice here on LC with blogs and groups etc. .... A forum or site is what people make of it .... The forum has been moved lock stock and barrel with everything still intact ... and yet people still aren't happy ...

I've been away for a couple of weeks; before I left, I said I'd be back, but I wasn't sure whether I'd be coming back to stay, or just to say goodbye. I've been lurking for the last couple of days, trying to find my way around and get a feel for this place, and frankly, "it feels like you are in a cave shouting all on your own and hoping someone will hear. The last place felt like a cosy living room type space where we all popped in and out." pretty much sums up the feeling I'm getting. Sad to say, but it's looking very much like it's going to be goodbye...

Sorry to drag up an old thread (and I know it's a bit naff to quote my own post, especially one that's very nearly a flounce

), but...

I've given it a week, and I have to say; it's not nearly as bad as I thought it was then. There are still bits of this place that I'm not happy with, or don't understand, but it's really OK, and all my friends are here.

So, I'm staying...

I'm glad you're staying Sarum. Sometimes when people do write a blog, it kind of releases something that has been bothering them for a long time. The fact that people took the trouble to reply to one of mine helped. Others can be happy blogs. Lou61 blogs are fabulous.
