DAY 70
For this week's shopping task, housemates are embracing all things British.
Some of the housemates are in the bedroom. Three days ago, as punishment for Halfwit, Siavash and Marcus breaking the Big Brother rules, Big Brother removed housemates' luxury food and replaced it with basic items.
1.24pm
Big Brother has gathered housemates in the sitting room. Big Brother calls Rodrigo to the Diary Room. Housemates notice that the screen has been turned on so they will be able to view Rodrigo.
In the Diary Room, Rodrigo is taking part in his Tea with the Queen Task. Big Brother tells him that Her Majesty has accepted an invitation to have tea with him. Rodrigo is ecstatic adding: "I don't know what to say, I'm more than happy," he continues "Don't joke with me, this is very serious."
The screen has been turned off in the sitting room whilst Rodrigo practices singing the national anthem. Big Brother announces to housemates that they must try and convince Rodrigo that he has genuinely met the real Queen of England. If they succeed then they will all receive a special gift. If they fail to convince him Dogface, Charlie and Rodrigo will all fail the etiquette task. Housemates jump and scream with excitement.
1.42pm
Rodrigo is in the Diary Room. It's been 17 minutes since Big Brother told Rodrigo that he would be having afternoon tea with the Queen. He is noticeably excited and tells Big Brother that he feels like he is "dreaming" and talks about his love of the country : "Now I'm going to be talking to the person who represents the country!" Rodrigo is unaware that the person he is due to meet is not the actual Queen and that to pass his part of the task his fellow housemates must convince him that he has met the actual monarch.
Some of the housemates are at the bus stop. Lisa mentions tea and Bea tells her she was about to make one "then Freddie came into the kitchen and I just wanted to get out." Bea tells them that she asked Halfwit how he felt about the eviction on Friday and tells Lisa that he was "confident." Lisa tells her she "hates" it when Halfwit is sure of himself, "His head's up his own a**e." Bea asks if people will see her as "two faced." Lisa tells her that "the public don't know what's gone on," within the house. Bea says that she hopes she's been accurately portrayed: "I've done f**k all wrong".
Rodrigo exits the Diary Room and is met with hugs and congratulations from his fellow housemates. He places Bea's hand on his chest saying "feel my heart" which is racing with excitement. Housemates continue to hug him and convincingly join in with his excitement.
2.28pm
Marcus and Halfwit are in the living room talking about Bea. Halfwit states that he has "thrown himself into the Big Brother experience" adding " I have had massive highs and catatonic lows" but now is "done with it." He says that from now on he will "reject the drama."
Most of the housemates are in the sitting room. Bea is reading through Rodrigo's Etiquette Guide, instructions with him. Bea instructs Rodrigo that he must first address the Queen as "Your Majesty" and from then on, he must refer to her as "Ma'am." Rodrigo struggles to pronounce the word and repeats "mum" following Bea's pronunciation of "Ma'am." Housemates all repeat Ma'am. Charlie tells him it's like "ham." Bea advises Rodrigo to say it as if there's an "r" in the word. Rodrigo makes further attempts at pronouncing the word correctly, but can only manage "mar," but continues to practice.
Eventually Rodrigo gives up, and reasons that the Queen will "understand my accent." His next lesson is serving tea. Bea tells Rodrigo he must offer either lemon or milk, but not both and warns him that "dunking" a biscuit in your tea is a serious error. Rodrigo practices serving tea.
3.01pm
Some of the housemates are in the living room. Halfwit talks about singing the national anthem at university.
Bea has come to the Diary Room and announces the need to "get some this off my chest again." Her subject is Halfwit who she refers to as "classless, little rude arrogant idiot" and ultimately "not as clever as he likes to think he is either." Big Brother asks Bea how she thinks Halfwit feels right now to which she replies "he feels sorry for himself" but "he is in an arrogant bubble". Big Brother then asks "Bea do you feel you might be responsible for how Halfwit is feeling?" Bea replies "in a way I am responsible because I have bought him back down to earth".
4.52
All of the housemates are in the living room. As the housemates consider what the Queen might wear to tea, Rodrigo is called to the Diary Room.
In the Diary Room, Big Brother explains that before he can meet the Queen, Rodrigo must go through a security check.
As Rodrigo is being frisked by a member of the 'Queen's security, in the living area housemates discuss how mean it is to let Rodrigo think he has fulfilled a life long dream. Halfwit argues that it's just another "aspect of a game."
Charlie tells them that Rodrigo "Is going to feel like a tit," when he realises the truth.
Rodrigo enters the small task room which has been decorated as a regal tea room. He is noticeably happy and beams at the sight.
In the living area Bea and Halfwit's debate continues. Bea feels that Big Brother is being too "dishonest" while Halfwit questions what is so bad about letting Rodrigo be on "a high about it."
The Queen arrives to take tea in the small task room and Rodrigo welcomes "Your Majesty" and as the national anthem is played in Rodrigo begins to sing along whilst saluting.
The anthem ends and the 'Queen' takes a seat at the table. She requests tea with milk, but Rodrigo mistakenly offers her lemon, which she accepts. Rodrigo makes small talk as he nervously makes the tea.
Bea and Halfwit are still in the living room disputing whether it's fair to keep up the charade until Rodrigo leaves the House. Bea tells him "I'm not the sort of person that deludes someone for three weeks."
In the task room Rodrigo is nervously enjoying his meeting with the 'Queen'; he tells her how important Britain is to him, "When I'm speaking to your majesty I feel like I'm speaking to the whole nation."
5.17pm
Rodrigo has been having tea with the 'Queen' for 25 minutes
The 'Queen' asks Rodrigo for a top up, minus the lemon this time. She then proceeds to dunk her biscuit in her tea, Rodrigo copies her.
Rodrigo is called to the Diary Room and bids a grateful farewell to his idol and thanks her "for this opportunity."
In the Dairy Room, Big Brother asks Rodrigo how he thinks the meeting went. Rodrigo says that he was "so nervous" he forgot to use the strainer when serving the 'Queen's tea.
Rodrigo leaves the Diary Room and tells his fellow housemates about the experience.
6.03pm
Most of the housemates are in the sitting room. Rodrigo has been talking about his royal experience for the past 46 minutes.
Lisa tells Rodrigo the 'Queen' will have "loved ya." Rodrigo hopes so and speculates on her being asked about him in the Diary Room. Adding: "Imagine, the Queen sat in the Big Brother chair."
The Queen has come to the Diary Room. She sings Rodrigo's praises to Big Brother adding: "I'm sorry Brazil has lost this wonderful young man".
7.05pm
David and Bea are in the bedroom. Rodrigo is called to the Diary Room. David says "they're going to tell him now."
Some of the housemates are in the living room. Halfwit thinks that the level of "meanness" of the trick depends on how the trick is revealed to him.
In the Dairy Room, Big Brother runs through the task challenges with Rodrigo and tells him that that Halfwit and Siavash and Marcus passed their respective tasks, whilst Bea, David and Lisa failed their task as jockeys.
When Big Brother gets to Rodrigo's challenge, Big Brother explains that tea with the 'Queen' was not his real task. "In order to pass your real task, housemates had to convince you that had tea with the 'Queen" explains Big Brother. It is revealed Rodrigo did not have tea with the real queen. Rodrigo blushes and embarrassingly admits: "I can't believe you did this to me," and laughs at the deceit. Big Brother then reveals that as housemates have passed the task, they will each receive a special prize. Rodrigo is the first to receive his prize, which is a genuine letter and gift from Buckingham Palace. Rodrigo has also earned each of his fellow housemates a special gift also. Rodrigo exits the Diary Room laughing at himself and announces the task resolve to his happy fellow housemates.
2.41am
Most of the housemates are in the bedroom. Marcus, Bea and Charlie are in the living area.
Bea ponders taking Halfwit's cider from his drawer. Marcus says that its "not cool" and disagrees with the idea. Bea retaliates: "Freddie's not cool." She launches into a barrage of further insults and refers to Halfwit as a "tool" and a "prize Noddy."
Marcus reminds Bea of her pledge to be positive: "insulting people in an open forum is not positiveβ¦you'll not like what happens when you come out of here." Although Bea does not accept this view point, Marcus insists that viewers will agree with him and Bea will "change your attitude."
Bea gets upset and cries "all I'm getting from you and Freddie is telling me I'm negative all he time." She gets very hung up on this point, and insists that Marcus looks like "a bully." She presses the Diary room buzzer and tells Marcus that she is going to tell Big Brother this too.
Charlie comforts Bea. Bea moans to Marcus: "You can dish it out but you can't take it," a comment that receives laughter from the bedroom. Bea goes to the bathroom to cry, and Marcus and Charlie are alone. Marcus says "weren't we having a nice conversation about Girls Aloud until she came along?"
Halfwit gets up when he hears the "you can dish it out" line, but Marcus encourages him to leave it and return to bed.
Bea goes to the Diary Room to plea her case to Big Brother. She insists that she is a nice person, who has never been told she is negative until now. She raises Marcus' comment that the public will think she is negative saying "I don't tell Marcus four million will think you look like a ****. Or four million people think you have the saddest hair do since 1982."
