There are very few ppl who could get away with being so cock sure with this one, I just think that is what Freddie thinks, I dont think he is saying it with arrogance.

Marcus could end up staying because of that comment, I really hope not.

Marcus really wants to stay, cant stand the thought of him pretending to be devastated if he stays.....arsehole

Ok.. say it was.. how do you explain his conversation with Siavash and Marcus in the garden.. the one where he talked about scheming, keeping out of trouble and how if he were up against other HMs he would win.

Exactly Tupps.... seems that convo is going to ignored Big Grin

maybe it's "the Freddies" who only hear what they want to hear Eeker

It certainly was not said in the way the other gang have chosen to interpret it.

The remark was because Marcus had wanted to go home and Freddie was simply confirming the possibility.
No it wasn`t to do with being cocksure at all!

Freddie fans will see it as light-hearted and harmless, while those who already dislike Freddie will say it was cocky, gloating and evil intent (which of course it wasn`t.)
Anyone who takes that remark at face value is misguided indeed.

Regardless how we see it he is giving the HMs more ammunition every time he comes out with a remark like that Shake Head

I am not a fan! No that wasnt nice what he said in the garden, but i have always felt he wasnt as nice as he seemed, but i still think he was well meaning in his remark to Marcus

I'm not a hater! Wink I don't think he engaged brain before he opened his mouth on that one.. but the undercurrent (which was later kinda illustrated by his later convos) was one of 'I'm going nowhere'.

I agree, i think he is still smarting after Bea,s onslaught, but he is very arrogant and so confident he is staying its almost sickly

Eeker Nod Just finished watching it! Well, Im very Eeker and Old Hippy Guy, I hope you see this; I want Marcus to stay!!! Laugh

Looking back on things I suppose earlier in the series he may have had some of this attitude as well. Sometimes it's better just to say nothing rather than try and rub things in too much with people. Maybe you can keep above the radar without being a bit too overconfident too often. It's nice seeing someone rile up others who you don't like so much but too much of that and it maybe even annoys his friends in the house or potential supporters outside.

Oh I say Barolo.
Surely that`s not necessary.

I apologise to you, Brisket, because I like you.
However, I do believe that Freddie really is that smug. I do not like him at all and hope he goes on Friday but that's just my opinion.

Again, I apologise - my reaction to your post was uncalled for.

I felt very sorry for him after Bea,s behaviour, but i still dont like him, i think he is very sly. He seemed to change after Craig more or less told him he could win

Oh cologne.. I was one of the few voices when everyone had a pop at him when he had his spat with Dave and Lisa. While his theatrics and the slightly disturbing glee with which he had a go and then followed them into another room to continue it made me think he could have gone a little too far.. I kinda understood that it was a moment where the worm turned.

But lately he has become almost unrecognisable.. he's no longer the slightly daffy Freddie who was humble, considerate, considered.. he's got an absolutely awful attitude and while before it could have been put down to some new found confidence now it's looking like misguided arrogance.

Still loves ya though.. Wink Hug

I think in this situation zipping it might have been a better option, especially in view of events in last night's HLs. At the end, when Freddie was going on to predict his course through the next round of evictions both Marcus and Siavash were trying to close him down as they could obviously see the potential damage he was doing himself. Eh? Surely Marcus' eviction isn't determined by the fact that he wants to go home and has asked to be nominated? I thought it was the public vote that decided it. I'm not a fan of Marcus or Halfwit but the comment was uncalled for.

That's exactly what I heard too ..... and can't see that can be spun as anything else than what it is........ supreme over confidence.

It should be up to the public to decide and not for the HMs to tell us.

Since BB1 many years ago cxontestants have schemed and planned and weight up their chances.
It`s what they do.
Now that BB has said they can do it openly it is more evident.
They are competing and talking about it, that`s all.
I see no particular change in Freddie, but I think I detect a bit more earnestness in Charlie.
As demonstrated in this thread people take sides.

I like Freddie but he said it again in the kitchen talking to Sophie and Rodrigo. Sorry brisket, but it does sound like cockiness to me.
Don't know how he can be so sure that he would stay over Marcus.

I have to say brisket, charlies face was a picture when fred called him up on nominating him,his face went red he was mumbling and trying to say the same line as he did to rod,its because of the argument, what he was wrong in the arguments just as much as they were.

But fred took him at his word,he is gutless the most desperate to stay in house,i hope fred finishes before him,and rod took him as his mate, through all the rows and how did he pay him.

I am so glad fred pulled him up charlie the liar.

I agree with you brisket. There is a desperation creeping into Charlie atm. He even mentioned last night how winning the money would be used to improve his mother's condition and in the next breath he said he was going to cycle round the world for charity. Oh dear, he should think before he speaks. These two statements do not correlate. How can he care about his mother so much and then go away for another stretch of time (he has been in the BB house now for nearly 3 months) to do something for charity.

At least Freddie is not resorting to such despicable tactics, it must be said.

It strikes me that Charlie is creating arguments, or at least clashes, and then using that argument as a reason to attack the person in question.
Charlie gets them to argue, and then says `I don`t like you for arguing`.

I really feel freddie will stay.. I am loving saivash, so probably better for him if fred left, but I also would hate to think Bea and lisa think they have one over on fred...
Freddie has been told he was big fave in there, by the newcomers so he is just being honest...

I think he has really struggled with Bea screwing him into the ground, he is off kilter, but will regain balance soon... just my opinion!
