That's very true. Pity they didn't apply the same strictness now.

It's totally unfair that all the HMs are punished because of these 3 *****s!

The whole point of BB is that they are at their mercy. The whole point of BB is that the rules are arbitrary and require no explanation. The whole point of BB is that they are rats in a cage.

The problem comes when they start negotiating with the hostages.. if they behaved as BB should then they wouldn't have half the problems they do. I don't want my BB to be fair. I want dystopia. I want a repressive totalitarian regime gawd dammit!

Over the years, BB have lost sight of that, as the producers have become more interested in the "light-entertainment" aspect of the show rather than the "human goldfish-bowl" aspect.
The problem is that without that central control, BB is always destined to degenerate into a mess.

I picked-up "The Real BB" about this last year, and in particular their misuse of the term "Zero Tolerance". His response was along the lines of "We're making a TV show, not policing an inner-city." Well fine, but then why use a term like "Zero Tolerance" in the first place?
And if you are going to use terms like that, why then "enforce-it" with joke punishments like the jail for nomination talk?

FMs have been complaining about weak and inconsistent punishments for years, and it's because BB has ignored us that they've now lost control of the house...

Well I did think Siavash at least looked a little like someone out of a spaghetti western ... Ninja Laugh

BB dont deserve any respect.

It was bea who got saved if siavash and marcus didnt break rules

It would have been marcus v bea and bea would have went.

To become housemates freddie and sophie agreed to the name change they could have declined.

No one should be allowed on show without going through proper procedures.

Yes exactly and many times the "punishments" end up with the housemate having more airtime which they want anyway. Or it actually helps them avoid eviction or nomination. So in some cases HMs have even deliberately broken rules for the airtime and attention.

I'm glad the 3 amigos have rebelled against the harsh regime that is BB. 13 weeks of being isolated from the outside world is far too long and especially when the inmates continually see "unfair" play at work. To expect 3 of them to sit in a cage not much bigger than a cardboard box, in full sunlight, for hours on end, was extreme IMO and I applaud them for "breaking out" Smiler

Agree, made this point in my own thread. Marcus should have been kicked out after climbing thta roof a second time.
