Depends, I had my long hair chopped of a couple of years ago, I had it trimmed more often when it was in a short bob.

Recently I've been growing it so I haven't had it cut since Christmas...though I have been having my fringe trimmed...now I'm growing my fringe. I wore it in a quiffy thing last night as my fringe is in my eyes and my brother said I looked like Herman Munster Frowner

I cut my own hair... tis fine (just stick it in a ponytail... nape of the neck for a bob type cut... top of the head for layers) and lop it off!

I colour my own too.

And I clipper hubbies and sons hair... but I hate doing it!

I colour daughters... don't usually cut it, she goes to the hairdressers for that! (though I did cut her a fringe recently).

As for cutting my own...longish curly hair will hide a multitude of sins.

Nod That's about right.

My husband's cut his own and my son's, I also cut's my son's hair if he's busy.

I cut my daughter's hair too.

I cut my own too, I've got long curly hair, when its wet I brush it all to the front twist it into a unicorn shape, cut off about an inch- result perfect layers everytime, it was a tip I'd seen years ago on the Richard & Judy show, by Trevor Sorbie.
