Don't know if this would work, but..... with your pc off remove the mouse usb lead. Turn the computer back on and let it load up. Then shut down normally. Put the mouse lead back in and restart.

That's presuming you have a pc and not a laptop ofcourse.

Worth a try, anyway.

Go to Control Panel, click on Mouse, then Hardware and see if it says it's working properly.

ive just broke me mums comp, mine was running slow so went on hers and its froze turned it of at wall and now it wont boot up at all can here it doing something but monitors telling me no signal.

As I don't have a laptop, I'll stop giving advice!

Remove battery cell from laptop and put back. has the same effect as switching off from mains.
You may be best to download a free antivirus and spyware programme and clear cookies.

I was hoping you wouldnt ask that.

I was typing the network key in lowercase not capitals.

I didnt realise capslock was on so was holding down the thingy button. Its an easy mistake I'm sure!!!

My mouse always feckin freezes if I use it as soon as I open my laptop.

I have to open the lid....let the fecker mouse relax for about 20 seconds and THEN use it!!

Sometimes it doesn't work at all...it just freezes, so I unplug, take the battery off, let the fecker chill, replug it back in....wait for it to load up and tickle the fecker mouse slowly to make sure it's working!


Can you tell I've been doing this for a while?

its not very old i know that, but i'll tell her she bought a crap comp that should do it

Sometimes the hard drive master boot record (MBR) gets knackered and won't allow it to boot. However, it may still be readable as a secondary drive so that the contents can be taken off. If the BIOS can still see it then it may be okay. Also, if the computer was booted using a CD then the duff drive could be read from there if it was not completely knackered.
