I know that this is totally off topic but I just wanted to see if I was being unreasonable. I never cared for the whole Peter and Katie thing, didn't watch the TV shows or anything like that but when they split I had to respect Peter Andre for the fact that he was keeping a dignified silence and doing what was best for his children while she was off telling anyone that would listen about her marriage and jumping into bed with a new bloke. Then he did the interview for the Sunday paper and I thought fair enough, get your side across and leave it at that. Since then, he's done quite a few interviews and now I'm losing that little bit of respect that I did have for him. He's put his point across, leave it at that. At this rate he's going to end up as bad as her. I wish he'd just left it with the one interview instead of going tit for tat and TRYING for the sympathy vote. Rant over!

I am fed up of hearing him and her spout about their marital woes. But for him to take the moral high ground and announce he won't discuss his marriage and then sell 4 exclusives in a week and a chat show. Can i just say "annoying wanker"
I find Jordan utterly repellent. I havent watched any of their shows and dont buy or read the celeb mags. However she and Pete manage to leak their lives into other areas so that I cant avoid them altogether!
If I have sympathy its for Pete and the children, she comes across as a soulless commodity, ruthless and publicity dependent. He is much more human.

Exactly, how many more "exclusives" can he sell? You can absolutely say "annoying wanker" I love that we can say that on here!
Its a divorce people are going through them all the time. Some move on and fall in to bed with the nearest person, some cry in their pillow. But most, if not all, do not bore the crap out of most of the UK with a run down on events every other bloody day.quote:Originally posted by LoraR:quote:Originally posted by longcat:

Soldiers and other people are dying in this country on a daily basis and the front page of my newspaper is taken up with some prat who is getting a divorce.
Somebody out there must want to hear about it. They are the ones buying the scandal rags with thier stories. Supply and demand. Millions of copies a week and I'm sure these folk aren't buying them for the horoscopes
Im disappointed in him, I strongly supported him in here because he maintained a dignified silence but it seems he only did that to buy some time till his album release...
They all do it though... They say respect my privacy but when its time to promote an album or movie, they are happy to talk away about their private life...

Hey, Mystic Meg is a very accurate horoscoper (?!) She once said I was going on a journey and I did, I actually went to Asda. Spot on
I understand that some people want to hear it, absolutely, I just don't think that after keeping such a dignified silence for all that time, selling story after story doesn't seem like the right move. Even my 7 year old said last night "Why is that man always on TV saying we can hear his story"!!
Sales are down though...People are tired of the bullshinequote:Originally posted by Cagney:

Spot on PCE If he'd have kept quiet till after the divorce I would have respected him but he's no better than her
The people who rush out to buy these mags scare me. If you said to them at a bus-stop "Let me tell you about my failed marriage and how my wife as moved on" they would run a bloody mile.quote:Originally posted by Cagney:

I haven't bought Heat for nearly a month...that'll be it
LoraR - beware Mystic Meg. She ruled my life for ages. Couldn't function without reading my horoscope daily
He couldn't sell a record as Katie's husband. Now suddenly people want to buy his music. If he had released that album last year it would have bombed.quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:

You still buy heat? Its just full of pictures with captions .. Seriously people are tired of it all.. If its not Jennifer Anniston on the front page, its Jordan or Kerry or Cheryl or Posh spice... Then the cycle starts all over again...quote:Originally posted by Cagney:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:Sales are down though...People are tired of the bullshinequote:Originally posted by Cagney:

I was joking, I don't buy it I do buy OK if it's a special issue though. Somebody died, somebody got married etc.
OK has gone down the drain now... Especially with their MJ tributequote:Originally posted by Cagney:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:You still buy heat? Yes, their "tribute" was pretty shocking. I wonder why they felt the need, in a tribute, to publish a photo of him in that state on the front cover. I never buy it, but now I know I certainly never will
I've always kind of admired Katie Price for her business sense. She's made her fortune and yeah the way she did it might not be to everyones taste but she's sorted for life. Ok she was a glamour model but she's far from being a slut. A flirt maybe, a tease....definately. Now she's a family woman and very successful business woman. I don't think she's doing anything different to what most women do when facing a divorce.....going off the rails for a few weeks. Good luck to her
Peter Andre....well I think he's playing her at her own game now. He was silent but after all that's been reported about her, her interviews etc I don't blame him for speaking out now
As for it being loads of different interviews...who's to say it's not one or two rehashed for different magazines?

Because the adverts on the TV say differnt unfortunately "Hear my side of the sttory exclusively in The News of the World / Heat / The Sun" etc

Aren't the News of the World and the Sun owned by the same company?
I read heat mag this week, only because my stepdaughter brought it, on the front it says peter andre reveals all underlined, but when you read it he doesn't say anything, they ask him questions and he just says i can't say this i can't say that, i won't say that because the kids will read it later, what was the point in that interview
They're both as bad as each other. That's why they made such a good couple imo.
It was appalling, a new low in tabloid journalism.... I will never purchase again....quote:Originally posted by LoraR:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:

Very similar to his news of the world interviewquote:Originally posted by Mercedes78:

It was very bad taste...that issue. I emailed to complain and got a reply back saying that it was in the publics interest to publish the latest news. I emailed back saying it was in extrememly bad taste and said a lot about the editors of the mag and thier take on "public interest" Sickos is another thing I called them in the email. I never got another reply
Did they really say the public demanded to see a dead picture of MJ? wow they must be out of touch with reality....quote:Originally posted by Cagney:quote:Originally posted by pretty~cocoa~eyes:It was appalling, a new low in tabloid journalism....
