i tell you what
the day just gets bloody worse
the lads dad and bro turned up at the pub, there was about 80 lads and girls, so they wanted to say thanks for the support-bearing in mind theyre in bits and the mom has to identify her lads body at 4pm
loads of black lads turned up-his mates (my step son is mixed race) and they all share the same group of friends
two 'big' men have turned up cos they know where to find each other and there was an almighty fight involving knives
it was a f*ckin running battle up the street, the poor dead lads dad had to run in the middle and stop it-saying he'd just lost his son etc..
the cops turned up
what a nightmare!
this lad was respectable and these arseholes are using his death to fight cos there was a 'lack of respect'

Too true. Adolescence for lads is a strange time.

When I was a student, I ended up sitting on a window ledge 15 storeys up deciding whether to push myself off. Basically, I was young, gay, very alone, and seeing no future when being gay wasn't as acceptable and family expectations pointed at marriage and kids. I'm glad I didn't now. The only thing that stopped me was the likely impact on my family.

The son of a work colleague of my mum's shot himself in his parent's bedroom aged 17 because the academic expectations of his private school and his parents were too high and presumably his approaching A levels were very stressful. It destroyed his parents - sent his mother a bit nutty for years, really. Very sad, that one.

Yes Charmer you did the right thing. How disrespectful of those people!

If I cdan give you any advice it's this: Gather your OHs son and his mates round and tell them to look at thedamage this one persons suicide has done. Tell them to look at the greif of the boys parents, relatives and each of his friends standing in that room and then ask them to think about what kind of devastation would happen if another mate were to try it. Tell them even though they are grown men it's ok to talk to someone if they are feeling down and maybe that will help them cope a little better.

Someone I know hung themselves 2 years ago and the effect its had on his family has been horrendous, I hope your OHs son and the boys family will come through this ok Hug

What a disaster Charmer, I feel so bad for your lad. You're just gonna love him all you can, poor fella Frowner

And that's it, a momentary decision can change the world. My brother hung himself with his dog lead at 27. I could still kick the stupid stupid twat's arse Frowner

sometimes it makes you wanna give up
im sooooo pissed off-i could bloody cry
cry for the lad that topped himself
and cry for the way these other 'you must respect me' wankers just invaded today
it makes you feel like the cops should back off till the little bastards have wiped each other out

Hug for fracas, charmer's stepson and everyone else who has lost a loved one by suicide Frowner

a friend of mine from school commited suicide a few years ago, he did it whilst petsitting for his best mate who was in australia. his mum reported him missing when he didn't come home one night and the police searched his mates house, found the cat food bowl piled high with food. but didn't find him. week later they searched house again and found him in the garden (they didn't look there before). his mum is still in bits now and adamant he was murdered, despite a letter Frowner
he was just 20...

i saw him about a month before he died, in the pub. he fancied me at school but i never felt the same...but when i saw him in the pub, and he smiled and me and started to walk over, i got all flustered and hid in the loos Blush
