I've got some on my neck and have to make an appt to have them burned off.

Obviously it will be uncomfortable I'm guessing but just how much? Anyone had it done?

Just getting this out of the way before pointless threads at the weekend

i had 20 done under my arms not long ago and it wasn't painful or uncomfortable at all

but i try and pull them off myself when they are small

it's quite enjoyable

oh and they don't burn them off

they inject the base with a ..a... *brain dead* deadening injection

(i am tired ok) and then cut them off

and then burn them to stop the bleeding

the worst bit is the smell of burning skin

In a warped way i quite enjoyed it and would def get it done again WHEN they come back

ohhhhhh - I'm an expert on these

I've just had some burnt off - doesn't hurt at all - my doctor gave me the choice of having them burnt off or just tying cotton round them and waiting till they dropped off.

I chose the buring option - but then I am a bit of a drama queen

My husband had it done and it didn't hurt at all, he had them done and went back to work.

the thing that bothered me the most was not being able to wear deoderant for a few days...but you won't have that problem with your neck...oh and the doctor did tell me there was no problem pulling them off

they are bits of loose skin that ''hang'' as you get older and form small loose 'tags' on various parts of the body. As it is your blood supply that keeps them alive, tying cotton round them cuts off the blood supply and they should fall off..........saying that, i had mine burnt off

apparently they are often a side effect of pregnancy. as are freckles and various other skin things.
I for one never used to have wrinkles. Now I look totally haggared round the eyes.
