Marcus is an utter berk, it's true. Nod
But Baby David's a lying numbskull.

I don't think he was lying, in this instance.
It did sound like 'punched' and the way BB reacted, i think they heard it that way too.

Don't like Dave and it says alot that he came in the house liking Lisa, but I can't blame him for thinking Marcus was threatening him. Glance

Marcus was moaning about people thinking he said "Queer", when he really said "Qui'er" (meaning quitter) in his Brentford accent! Laugh

Laugh Laugh Don't get me wrong, I can't stand the hairy oaf, but it seems like Baby David was looking for any excuse to play the victim.

I disagree he thought he had been threatened by a man who had threatened to punch Tom 3 times.

I just didn't see it like that at all Confused
He was sitting back in his chair and laughing, not standing over anyone in a threatening manner.

Substitute 'punched' for the 'punked' in that conversation and it doesn't make sense. Wavey Davey heard what he wanted to hear... he'd already offered Marcus out with ‘well come on then do what you want, come on then I’m waiting for ya’.. he was spoiling for a fight.

YESS! That's exactly how I saw it. He was dying to be threatened, so he could flounce off and tell teacher. If anyone should have been warned, it was him. He practically offered Marcus outside.

Spot on - David was the initial aggressor - why didn't BB pick up on that.

ALSO - twice last night LISA alluded to Freddie being 'lucky that they were in the house' and that she would have dealt with him different on the outside - a very veiled threat but one which BB should talk to her about.

Remember the conversation in the bedroom at the end of the HLs show a few days back.. it was in night vision and Dave did his 'feisty queen' speech. He's been bliddy dying for a go since.. he must have thought all his Christmases came at once when Marcus used a word that he could pounce on.. and then when he was reminded that BB see all and in fact he'd bunched up his knickers on nothing it was like all his presents were missing batteries... Laugh EPIC FAIL!

Marcus said "You tell me after I punked you out" and I think David, and others, honestly thought he'd said "after I punch you out".
BB thought he'd said that too.

It's not as if it's a common saying in the UK. Big Grin

I didn't see that, but it makes sense, in context with his behaviour last night. Someone should tell him you need wit, intelligence and a vocabulary of more than eight words to do the "bitchy queen" thing justice.. Laugh

Dave: ‘Well come on then, I’m waiting for ya.. I ain’t scared of you mate, no wayâ€Ķ. You’re a pathetic excuse for a manâ€Ķ I’ll tell ya’.
Marcus: ‘You tell me after I punked you out, you didn’t tell me before’.
Dave: ‘Are you threatening me now’.
Marcus: ‘How am I threatening you?’.
Dave: ‘Well come on then.. I’m not scared of ya.. come on’.
Marcus repeats ‘How am I threatening you?’
Dave stands up over Marcus and says ‘Punch me then.. come on’

Sorry.. punched for punked makes no sense whatsoever. He was spoiling for a fight and heard what he wanted to hear.

Looking at a transcript, of course it makes no sense, but during an argument, things are often misheard.

I believe David did mishear it and so did others. Big Grin

Benefit of doubt.. he misheard it.. but I don't think it's because he's hard of hearing.. Wink someone had pumped themselves up into a teensy lil bit of aggression and this time it wasn't Marcus.
tupps
SEE here we have a classic case of twisting....or lets say "miss hearing" a few words, repeating what you THINK you heard...(or is that what you HOPED you heard)?,
cause we ARE talking about Marcus here and lets not forget, he is ALWAYS wrong and he looks like he smells,
what he said was, something LIKE "HE has been waiting (David) for a go......... since I punked you out THE OTHER NIGHT,"
the CAPS are the IMPORTANT words in this "case"
cause many of the Marcus bashers have "quoted" various versions of what was said,...from "wait till I punk you out"???
to "you tell me after I punked you out,
they ALL ...of course, forget the words, "THE OTHER NIGHT",
because to include THOSE words would make it quite obvious that it was NOT a threat of violence, and certainly blows Dave the braves assertion that Marcus THREATENED him, right out of the water, and in fact shows that Dave was WAITING for Marcus to say something ANYTHING no matter how small so that he could pounce on it,

rather like quite a few members of this forum I think, Nod

David even went as far as to stand over Marcus, who just lolled back in his chair. Whatever anyone thinks they heard, there was no doubt who looked the most aggressive.

fact is Marcus Bea and Fred had got Lisa sussed, they had done the maths and had worked it out that it was gonna be Marcus and Bea up,
thanks to Lisa and Dave for the most part but neither Bea OR Marcus made it hard for them, it has to be said,
SO when the 2 who were up were announced, Dave and Lisa had a little smirk,...and THEN BB hit em with the sucker punch,...because of Marcus AND Siavash you are ALL up,
and of course those MOST scared were outraged and it was ALL down to Marcus, NONE of em had a go at Siavash,
and so (quite rightly IMO) M arcus and Fred found the who thing funny, cant blame em at all for that,
cause THEY know that Lisa knows, there is a VERY good chance she is out if she is up, so all her plots and plans have come to nowt, and its ALL down to her "nemesis" Marcus,
I AM sorry, see I am only human, and I would have been up on a chair yelling "in your face" at her,...I think it is bloody BRILLIANT, Big Grin
WELL DONE Marcus you played a blinder,
and as everyone gave YOU all the blame, in MY book YOU get all the credit, Clapping Big Grin
