He laughed in Lisa's face when she called him a wanker, then proceeded to laugh at her outside of the kitchen. She kept hurling her usual abuse, and she ended up retreating. It was a beautiful sight. She can only handle the heat when she has 3+ henchmen standing at her side.

Dont bother, the OP will still hate him. Wink

How can the same incident result in such opposing views from people on this forum?
I think we have got to that stage now where supporters and opposers fight their corner even harder.
More extreme words and phrases enter the discussions - lies even. (But when people resort to lies in support of a housemate they are actually defeating their own argument.)
It actually gets easier to tell which versions seem most fair and least biased. It also becomes more obvious where strong support or dislike for a housemate results in exaggeration
and fantasy.

Is that it in a nutshell?

Not really.
A lot of people thought that Freddie behaved well.
I suppose it depends on where your starting point is.

Fair point, that was what I was half jokingly saying about the OP, if they didn't like Freddie to begin with the wont like him any more now. Laugh

We are all biased I guess.

marcus and bea nommed, but invalid and all hm's up, gasp of horror and loads of laughter was the reaction to all being up.
in the kitchen, fred tells dave everyone is aware of his game plan and lisa's,dave is outaged at the suggestion, bea wants to know why dave doesn't like her, question is dodged, in piles lisa, wagging a finger and shouting at halfwit, fred laughs and carries on winding her up,lisa calls the public arseholes and tells dave to get out of the kitchen, fred tells lisa that he (fred) isn't going anywhere, been up 5 times and saved every time, lisa tells him he's a jumped up dick(or words to that effect)fred laughs some more.

I think that summed it up fairly JacksonB and as far as I can see completely without bias towards either side. Fair play to you Thumbs Up

Brisket, was just going by the fact that some of his biggest supporters didn't approve of some of the behavior e.g. Mary Bee

Tupps! Crying I'm not a Lisa fan .... I can't stand her... but I was disappointed in Freddie last night. He took it too far, and I'm with Olly (see her thread) that he'd well outsmarted Lisa earlier in the series and last night he just sank to Team Nasty's level for a while. I hope he rises above it again.

Awwww Kaff... I'm only leg pulling. Valentine

He's human. Sometimes maybe a little Schadenfreude may come into seeing someone who systematically ground someone down and encouraged others to do the same squirm. He had a moment of Schadenfreude and peeled back the facade she has had for a couple of weeks to exposed the nasty git she still is.

Mary, that was just what I was trying to say, that some of his biggest supporters didn't like some of his behaviour, not that that meant they'd stopped supporting him/liking him

Fred and Marcus KNEW that Marcus and or Bea would be up, they knew because they were aware, FAR MORE aware than WE are, of Lisa and her worm tongue going around the house influencing the other HMs they NEVER stop, I bet they get up each day, and its hey ho here we go, whisper whisper,
SO when it all blew up in her face, and they KNEW that she was SHITTING herself cause she has been told that if she is up she will probably be out,
and THAT is why Fred and Marcus found it so funny........WHO wouldnt? Big Grin
old hippy guy
Ok , I've watched it several times now and my opinion is,(if anyone is interested Laugh)

He ridiculed Lisa and repeatedly laughed in her face - not nice
He was pleased that Team Lisa had been shafted and his friends were not the only ones in the firing line for eviction and, given her earlier treatment of him, that's understandable
He's getting too cocky that the public like him - maybe they won't if he behaves like that
His "Nerr, Nerr, Lisa's up for eviction," comments were at best childish and unpleasant
He was 'up for a barney' only as long as he had his 'bigger and harder' mates Bea and Marcus standing by him for support
Lisa and David tried to walk away from the row and he immediately followed them,(with Bea,) for 'seconds' and to try and finish them off- not necessary
Freddie's repeated efforts over time to make Lisa look bad to other hms and nominate her seem to me to be little different to what he is accusing her of

THe thing that REALLY, REALLY confuses me is that, rather than attribute this behaviour of Freddies' to the articulate, public school and Oxbridge educated Freddie, that many folk on here are attributing it to Marcus and Bea, as though he has caught a nasty side to his personality like a cold/ by osmosis by hanging around with them Confused
