This time the old pretending not to know who to spell something routine.

I think Sophie plays up to the image of her being a stupid bimbo as well. Of course they aren't that intelligent but they do know how to play the game and alot of the audience probably aren't aware enough to see that.

No 'DR Uncut' program this year? Also they don't show alot of the nominations, either in HLs or even in the eviction interviews. It's all part of a greater control of the audience, because the DR is the place where a HM can speak directly to the audience with their thoughts.

I hate haitch too...really gets my goat....small thing I know, but I flinch when I hear haitch.

That's totally different to spelling. Spelling is more standardised than pronunciation which can vary from place to place within the country.
