is the man who is to be extradited for hacking into American computers being treates as some kind of victim - he broke the law and now he will face his sentence!! Don't get me wrong I agree that it is unfair to have kept him waiting 7 years for a decision over extradition but he broke the law and now he has to face the concsequences - he is not a victim!!

yes he does but he still committed a crime!!
dont get me wrong he should be punished,as all peeps who commit a crime, but i am in two minds about this situation...and have NO idea how the situation can be best handled.

Oh dear!
I'm not saying he should be let off, but surely his condition warrants that he is treated a bit more compassionately?
Actually, ignore that, I'm not coming back in this thread, I know where they lead

why though - there are other ppl out there with a range of illnesses who have committed crimes and still had to serve their sentences!!
It's not like a hurty knee.

thier illnesses are taken into account though, with aspergers it will be very hard to do that as there is next to no awareness about it. tbh i very much doubt it will be taken into account as much as it should.
i dont think many people are saying she should be completely let off to be fair.
asperbergers sufferers have difficulty relating , in the same way as we do.
if that's the case with this bloke then maybe that's why it's taken 7 years to decide what t do.
or is 7 years normal for a decision in a non homicide case?
