I'm very suspicious of this. There's often been some tension between C4 and Endemol about the direction of the show, and it's true that some aspects of the show (e.g. the series length, and the loss of LF) are decided by C4, but isn't it Endemol that's responsible for the day-to-day running of the house?

To come out with lines like:
"They have started to panic over some of the things going on in the BB house."
and
"Added to this, some of those in the house have been a complete nightmare to deal with."
seems very odd. Is it not Endemol who selected the HMs? Is it not Endemol who decides how to handle them? Is it not Endemol who organizes the after-show care for the HMs?

If so, then why do they appear to be trying to pin Endemol's morale problems on C4? It smacks of "passing the buck" to me...

Its easy to slag them off... but if you assume that some of the production team have been working on the show years, then they probably care about it as much, if not more, than we do.

They are probably just as gutted about boardroom decisions to cut live feed, stick in peoples boyfriends, and generally kill all that big brother is about.

I think that Endemol are probably being strangled by Channel 4 and its top level business strategies.

I may be biased.... if I had to place trust in one of the two companies... it'd be Endemol for me.... Channel 4 have shown no respect for big brother fans this year... it started with closing the forums, then cutting live feed.. etc.

I used to love Channel 4 - from the first day it started it was my kind of channel... now its just selling out!

Cutting LF and "sticking in boyfriends" are different issues, though. C4 is responsible for LF, but I can't imagine they would have had anything to do with, say, sticking Isaac in - that decision would have been made by the Endemol production team.

If these employees are complaining about things like LF, then fair enough - I'd agree with them. However, the matters referred-to in the Daily Star article mainly appear to be Endemol production issues to me...

Plus mucking around with the HL show viewing times, and LF that we do have, putting on so late that they are in bed before it's even started on some nights.

It says the staff are thinking of quitting Endemol because it is strangled by Channel 4.

It's an inter Endemol-Channel 4 row.

These are internal Endemol matters.

There is no specific mention of how C4 is strangling them, e.g. problems over LF.

I'm tempted to suspect bad journalism by the Star, though... Wink
