I mean if my ex turned up on my doorstep after all that time I'd at least make the guy sweat a bit. Noirin has no self esteem and he will just crush it further.
If, by Noirin's friends you mean Bea, well I think he was right in that instance. No doubt he's been watching the show and saw Bea slagging off her 'friend' behind her back. He was just sticking up for Noirin.
but Bea was right and is allowed to express a view point. He's a bully, I can spot it straight away, but just keep watching, I'm sure it will all become apparent.

Why does Bea have a right to express her opinion to the people involved, but he has no right to tell her to stop interferring. I'm sorry but if anyone interferred in my business they would get told, in no uncertain terms, where to get off. Fine if you ask for their opinion, but her opinion wasn't asked for.

I find it strange as well.
I think he meant it in terms of 'The main man' ....remember in the film Scum the hardest guy in the prison was called 'The Daddy'...but I do agree, the guy seems like a tosspot...undercurrents of malevolence there too.
