For those genuinely concerned Mike is okay and is spending the day with his Counsellors. He feels that he is rather a nuisance and he is very embarrassed but I assured him that we would all like to help and support him in any way we can

The anonymous posting isn't really the issue here peeps
At the end of the day Mike doesn't know who sent the PM and it is now deleted. Hopefully we are all wiser now not to delete PMs but to report them to admin and then call on our friends to drive the trolls out

But he was saying the PMs were anonymous, so it is an issue if it's true ...

if you get one, let everyone know and report it.
You cannot send an "anonymous" PM in this system...it automatically populates your username as the sender. Now that doesn't preclude a malicious person registering here with the intent to troll via PM. That's why we need folks to report the PM trolls; then we can ban them.
Also, I would recommend anyone who's worried about it set their permissions to only allow buddies to PM them. Then the problem is entirely solved.
